Humans or Orcs

Post by Ratchet »

HI there,

Im a very new Bloodbowl players and my local games club is starting its first BB league in about 6 weeks (LRB5.0), and the pre-season freindlies start today (just getting people to learn the rules and such, as your team cant get permanently injured or gain skills etc).

Im in two minds as to whether to take a Human team or an Orc team (I have enough models to convert both).

I understand that the orcs are a "Bashing" team, and the human are a "versatile" team, but is there anywhere i can read more about this, or can anyone give me some basic advice? Also I havent been able to find any "basic tactics" threads on these boards (but that could just be as my search-fu is weak). Does anyone have a link to any?

Cheers
Ratchet

The specialist games site also has several good articles about both of these teams.

If you're a new coach in a veteran league, I'd recommend Orcs. Humans can be tricky, because you need to change your strategy significantly to fit your opponent. If your league-mates are also new or if you tend to whip everyone at everything you play, then it's mostly an aesthetic and play-style consideration. Both teams are straightforward enough to learn on and have enough depth of strategy to keep you going for years and years.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.
