If there are plenty of Low AV teams - Elves etc - then Piling On is a viable and decent option, but if there are a high portion of Orcs, Nurgle, Dwarfs and the like it's not as good - because you do not want to PO on the AV roll when you have AV7. The opposing teams reply would/should be (if the opponent is decent at the game) a foul with a DPer and a couple of assists - bye bye Witchy.
As I said earlier, the 3 next games (which decide the league championship) are all against teams with AV 7 players. Fouling really isn't as strong as it used to be (few teams in the league have even bothered with dp), just got to keep some TZ's around when the pile on happens to cancel assists. Or just don't use PO when it's too risky.
So far there is 1 player with tackle + mb + pile on. An orc blitzer. Nasty fellow but 1 such a player in a whole team is counterable (and I'm not playing this team for the title).
A witch elf in a DE team, especially a developed one, is protectable IMO. Besides, so far I have always been the team that dishes out the pain rather then receiving it. AG 4 + lots of dodge + block all around + 2 * guard + 3 * mighty blow = a surgical sledge hammer. Even against higher AV teams if you get your strengths on their weaknesses (lower AV players) you can outbash them. Elves with a lot of strength skills are sick (15 games unbeaten now, won 13 of those).

+AV is certainly a very good choice, but considering my league and my own team PO is the right choice ATM.

But an interesting discussion nonetheless!

Guess its too late to vote for armour then!?

Although if I only had a couple of games left in the season I would go for PO.

I'd go with piling-on.

A single heavy hitter is a mighty positional for darkies. Use her to hunt down isolated opponents (NEVER use piling-on near the LOS or near cages) and make your opponent play his game concerned about the safety and number of his players. That should bind enough of his ressources to make it more easy for you to play your own game.

A witch with mb and po - and your opponent's fear is your best friend... 8)

You don't know how sweet a Witch with Juggernaut is until you have one.

I have one. She is a force. AV8 would be great too, and so would MA8, but I'd still have to recommend Juggernaut.
