Playing a card on an opposing team player?

Is the above possible, if the card description doesn't specifically say that it must be on one of my players?

There are some cards which are a two-edged sword (like the one that makes a player +St for a drive, then -ST for the rest of the game) so it could be good to play them on an opposing player.

Specify by card # and suit....

Mmm, actually the 1 I mentioned might be pbem only.

But what about the 4 and 7 of clubs?

I think they can be played on any player.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Some specify that they must just be played on one of your players, others on a player of the opposing team, so if it doesn't specify, I would have thought that you can play it on a player of either team.
