Loner really doesn't have much affect as a Negatrait on the Vampires due to their GSA skill access. There's just so many reroll type skills available to them that team rerolls start to become less of a necessity. They can just take Pro and have the same chances of being able to reroll something as using a team reroll, but if they fail the Pro roll they wouldn't lose a team reroll as a result.

is there not a chance of having a Vampire team of just Vampires

1. newly blooded
2. weakened old wisps
3. Corpulent beasts
4. Rabid daemons
5. prime specimens

enough potential to have MV5/7 ST2/4 AG3/4 AV7/9 variants.

you could easily lose Bloodlust and have a decent team, that would not be overpowered except in Fluff material.

As I've stated before, just change Blood Lust to auto stun the bitten Thrall (instead of a possible casuality). It's a very small change, and would make the Vampire team at least playable in a league setting. Everyone seems to agree that this change would be a good one without making Vamps too powerfull. I really hope someone from the BBRC considers it for the LRB6. I'd buy a full set of BB Vampire minis if they would give them this small boost.

You can't be serious with this ? I've tried to play Vampires in our league multiple times, and I'm surely a veteran BB player. Even with the most cautious 2 Vampires maximum play, I didn't have the slightest chance against other fresh teams. As written now, the team is not challenging (as it should be), it's only frustrating.

Eh, I don't think the on roster ghoul suggestions are winning me over. I think I just want a team with vamps and thralls.

I'm thinking of bringing back the Vampire Lord and maybe going with something like this:

That Vampire Lord should be costed in the 200K+ zone, it's the single best player in BB outside of Star Players. Look at Luthor, that guy is 1ST and 2 skills away from being better than the Count and he is probably the best Star Player in the game

In fact I'd say 280 - 300K would be "fair".

You know, that roster is too good, but I wonder if the following might be a fun Vamp roster.

0-2 Blood Frenzied 6/4/3/8 Wild Animal, Loner, Frenzy, Regenerate S/GAP

I don't play with stars so I never checked Count Luthor. He does make a nice litmus test.

Now Loner by itself isn't that bad, but the Loner/Animosity combo Jural suggested in his roster has possibilities. It does sort of fit their profile of having disdain for all other races. Maybe I'll fool around with that for a while.

What if you took out the Ghouls?

What if you knocked the Vamps down 10k and gave them AS/GP access, to reflect the fact that they think of football as an afterthought?

What if you changed the Linos from Hobbos to Hoomies @ 50k, and knocked the RR cost to 60k?

What if you introduced the old OFAB, with a 1-in-6 chance to miss any given drive @ -10k?

Would any one or more of those fix it?

Eh it's an interesting player that's AS, but removing Block, Pro, Frenzy and Tackle from Vampires does less than you'd think to curb them. All they need is a single doubles roll as they can get masses of other useful skills from Strength and Dodge from Agility.

Makes the team better than ever paying 10K extra per lineman for +AV is good times and a reduction in RR costs as well? Bonus!
