New Khemri Team

I have a dilemma building a new Khemri team. 1 mil total.
I have
4 mummies
1 Throw-Ra
1 Blitz-Ra
5 Skeletons
3 RR

This leaves me 40 grand. What should I do with the last 40 thousand?

get the second thro-ra. with little agility all sure hands will come in useful

Agreed. Two guys with SH are way better than one, and when everybody's AG2, it's only that much more true!

Wait till 2008 when playtest has (hopefully) scraped off the cheese and the more-properly-playtested Khemri team is official?

(Yeah, I know... that was opinionated and not constructive....)

Is that second Thro-Ra THAT important on a new team in a new league? Could I just wait a while to get it? Isn't a 2nd Blitz-Ra more important? I'll admit I've never played or played against Khemri.

Voted None of the above.

As a Khemri player myself i prefer to start with full positionals and one less Mummy.
So
3 Mummy
2 Blitz-Ra
2 Thro-Ra
4 skeletons
3 RR

left cash mostly spent on 1 AC and 1 CL becaus 2 FF does not ad as much
and a guarantied +1 on those free re-rolls on the kick off table will help much more.

2 Throw- ra's improve the ball handling of khemri verry much. The Blitz-ra's used for the sideline cage (though dangerous to use) ensure bunching up of the opposing team, witch in turn make the 3 mummy's more effective as there is less room for the opposition to avoid them. And a bunched up game is pretty good to handle with 3 S5 dudes.

Second Blitz-Ra is more important. The Blitz-Ras double as Ball carriers until you have both Thro-Ras. Personally I start with 4 Mummies and 2 Blitz-Ras, but 1 and 1 is fine, they're both MA6 - Thro-Ras are better against most things Blitz-Ras are better against Wardancers.

Thro-Ras can't do the job Blitz-Ras do, but Blitz-Ras can do the Thro-Ra's job. Maxing on Mummies and Blitzes asap should always be the priority.

I actually thought of another option. I'm not sure how much I like it, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

4 Mummies
2 Throw Ras
5 Skeletons
3 RR
1 FF
bank 50 thou

Banking the 50 thou will give me a Babe for the new league since most of the other teams will start with 1 million. And then I'll have at least a 50/50 chance of being able to buy the Throw Ra. Again, not sure if that's a good idea or not. Thoughts?

Only problem with inducing the Babe with petty cash is that you're giving your opponent 50k in inducements for a Babe or special play in return.

Also, having no Blitz-ras seems... risky.

Why should he give away petty cash.

He has a lower team value, so he gets the babe as inducement.

The way I read it, most everyone is starting at TV1000K. 50k of petty cash would give you a TV of 1050k, which would therefore give your opponent 50k in inducement cash.
