No, you're not quite right here, it's like Kheldar has already posted. You have 1.000.000 to spend your starting money on and you must have 11 players. But any money left unspend will be in the treasury and will not count for TV. Only if you transfer money from the Treasury into Petty Cash (e.g. in order to buy a Babe, but why would you want to do that  ) the TV will rise accordingly.

Cheers

So as long as the money is in the treasure where it doesn't count his TV is down that 50K and he'll induce the babe without moving it to petty cash.

Ahhh, gotcha... of course banked cash wouldn't count towards TV. Failed my bonehead roll there...

4 Mummies
2 Throw Ras
5 Skeletons
3 RR
1 FF
bank 50 thou

Banking the 50 thou will give me a Babe for the new league since most of the other teams will start with 1 million. And then I'll have at least a 50/50 chance of being able to buy the Throw Ra. Again, not sure if that's a good idea or not. Thoughts?
I never said I would buy the babe. I thought it was obvious that I would induce it since my TV would only be 950 thou and everyone else would probably have 1 mil.

Would this be a sound strategy or should I just go with one of the original plans?

It might work, though many starting rosters have 10 or 20k left over, so your opponents might have a TV or 99 or 98 so you wouldn't get the free Babe.

Good point. It may not be worth the risk. I guess I'm leaning toward 2 Thro-Ras but that does mean a minimum of 2 games without a 2nd Blitz-Ra and probably 3. 1 Throw-Ra and banking the rest could get me the Blitz-Ra after the first game. aHHHH, I'm so conflicted. :?:

I have found out that 2 tho-ra's are not that important as it seems you just have to place your mummies so that they gives you about 3 turns to pick up the ball with blitz-ra. Don't hesitate and take your time after 3rd turn start to use rerols to pick up the ball. By that time use mummies and other players to make your oponent to play with less players than you. (I ussually make opponent to play with about 5 players untill round 8 of first half.

I suggest try to win 2:0 or 2:1 by scoring in the last turn of 1st half (decide to kick 1st half) and also scoring in the last turn of 2nd half.

If you use this strategy your 1st blitz ra will get new level after 1st game. 2nd game you will probably score with tho-ra or skeleton. 3rd game if you were lucky you have 2nd blitz ra and score with him. With this strategy 1 of your players will get new level after each game which is preety important for developing of your team. Remember that your mummies are very strong but slow so you have to place them correctly. Usually I use rerolls on mummies go for it. And sometimes for picking up the ball when half is going to be over.

As your team will develop slower comparing to many other teams (luck of completitions to level up with MVP guy) You should have some advantage by having lower TR. So Buy bribes and FOUL. It's way to go.

I have ended our league on 4th place from 12 in our league, by loosing only 3 games from 15. I have lost to dark elves 2 times and 1 time to necromatic.

Hope it helpes.

My Khemri started with 4 Mummies, 2 Throw-ras, and no Blitz-ras. Doing this gave me 12 players, more re-rolls, and a higher fan factor. My first purchases were a Blitz-ra, a couple of coaches and cheerleaders, and then my second Blitz-ra.

They were undefeated by the way.

Blitz-Ras really are expensive for what you get. 6328 Block/Regen for 90 thou. Compare that to Orc blitzers which is 6339 Block for only 80 thou. Maybe I should wait to buy them later. But that block is invaluable...

Don't compare them to Orc Blitzers, those guys are discounted under what they should cost anyway. The main thing about Blitz-Ras is they cost that little extra bit, but in the Khemri team they're such work horses that they're worth every penny.

yeah, I don't think I could go without a BlitzRa for the first 3 games.
