Snotling ninjas

Post by brynolf »

Ok, how about this little cutey for the Ogre team?

Snotling ninja 5135 Dodge, Right Stuff, Side step, Stunty, Titchy, Dirty player, Sneaky git, Secret weapon

In addition to this insane amount of skills, the ninja can be used in addition to the normally alowed 11 players on the pitch. For one drive only, of course, since he is a Secret weapon and probably will die fast anyway...

What should this guy cost, and how many should you be able to have in your team? I think 0-4 could be fun, so you really could invade the pitch with little green men for short durations.

Also note that not much thought has been put into the DP and SG skills.

Add "No Hands" and "Stab" to that build and we have ourselves a 50k, 0-2 player. Not so sure about the "above 11" idea, though; might want to put that on the wayside for now.

The "more than eleven" rule is the main reason I like the idea. It is a variant on the old Titchy rules found here.

I had a read-through of the Fanatic article in your link and I can see how the prospect of sneaking a Titchy player onto the field makes sense from a fluff point a view -- especially when you consider a ninja snotling would be ultra-sneaky.

The tricky part is where you draw the line. A normal titchy snotling isn't going to unbalance the team very much (if at all), but one that kick opposing players in the junk with above-average skill might tip the balance a little too far.

Not to mention the fact that a Titchy player is supposed to be smaller than a Stunty in the first place, if I recall correctly...so giving him the Stunty skill would be redundant, yes?

I see it as more of an "upgrade", if you can call getting even smaller and weaker an "upgrade". Stunty is more like the prerequisite to getting Titchy, so both would be required for a Titchy player.
