TV110 tourney Lizardmen - which skills?
TV110 Tournament Lizardmen team, 5 skills before the tourney starts only 1 Skill per player.
My player setup:
5 Skinks
6 Saurus
1 Kroxy
2 RR
4 FF
1 Cheerl
1 Ass. Coach
The setup is quite final. Now what to give as far as skills?
Option #1: 4x Block on Saurus and 1 with Break Tackle
Option #2: 2x Block, 1 Guard, 1 Frenzy, 1 Break Tackle on Sauri
Option #3: 2x Block and 1 Break Tackle on Saurus and 2 Skinks with Sidestep
so far my preference is #2. I know some players who had succes with #1 and I had good experiences with 2 sidesteppers on a goblin team.
Aditional Info: afaik, there won´t be any dwarves or CDs in the tourney. (Yeah, strange, I know ...)

I know you say your setup is final, but I have to comment there I think:
IMO the Krox is unnecessary in Tourneys (although I agree he can be a lot of fun - Bone-heading on the crucial blitzes and so on...).
My ideal line up:
6 Sauri 480 k
6 Skinks 360 k
4 rr 240 k
20 k for whatever you wish!
This setup gives you enough strength, and an extra guy if you need to foul...
Anyway, coming back to your original question. Especially with only 2 rr (in your lineup) you need mobility. I recommend taking at least 2 Break Tackle Sauri. Futhermore 2 Block Sauri, and the remaining skill I would give Frenzy also to a Saurus. IMO giving skills to a Skink is waste in the case of Tourneys, the only one I would consider is Sneaky Git - the Sauri are your way to victory!
Good luck in any case!

First of all, I think that 2 RRs are not enough. You'll have to do all the ball-handling with your skinks and even a simple pick-up, move, hand-off with AG3 and no skills only has a 44% chance of succeeding - you'll need those RRs!
In my last tourney (the Bembel Bowl which had the same rules) I played (and lost
) with Orcs against a Lizardman team like this:
1 Kroxi (Guard)
5 Sauri (4 with Block)
6 Skinks
3 RRs
2 FF
Guard on the Kroxi really killed me, he was always in the way, guaranteeing 2dice Blocks for the Sauri. And the extra-Skink in reserve is worth more than a 6th Saurus - you already have plenty firepower. The only thing I would consider changing on this set-up is giving on Saurus BT.
Cheers

I'll leave out my 2¢ on the team construction
Saurus w/Block
Saurus w/BT
Krox w/Guard
2x Skink w/Side-Step or 1 each extra of the above Sauri

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

If you aren't feeling too risky, I would say 1 break tackle Sauri and 3 block sauri are for certain.
For the 5th skill, I would probably go with the guard Krox, but an additional block Sauri or a catch skink would be good.
But...
A Break Tackle Kroxigor could be lots of fun. With Prehensile Tail, decent movement, and 5 Strength, he could move into the greatest positions to make headaches for the other team.
If you go this way, I would round out the other 4 skills with 2 block sauri and:
2 more block sauri, OR
1 Kick, 1 guard saurus, OR
2 guard Sauri
Guard is only there to get some 3 die blocks for the Krox!

I hate that line-up...stick_with_poo_on_the_end wrote:I think the only roster at tv110 is
Krox
6 Saurus
5 Skink
3 RR
Go basic block 5 saurus. or even 4 block 1 B Tackle.
Side step is nice on skinks, but an extra after the saurus have block
And I guess I'm going to see a bunch of it at the World Cup.
Will Harriet be taking them?

I finally went with this and it worked very well so far ... I have 2 wins (vs. orcs and dwarves) and 1 tie (other lizards) after day one.Da_Great_MC wrote:I'd exchange the 4FF, the coach and the cheerleader for a 3rd re-roll. You really need those.
Then I'd give 2x Block, 1x Frenzy and 1x Break Tackle to Sauri and Guard to the Krox.
Frenzy scares people like hell (Dunno why ...)
Guard on Krox is big ... draws additional players to assists who could be useful elsewhere
BT is a good way to let one saurus change position even if somebody covers him.
