Sixteen sided dice for M.V.P.

Post by tomros »

Has anyone thought about getting a sixteen sided die made for MVP rolls?

I suppose the cost would be prohibitive for something so frivolous, but I think it would be a really cool thing to have. Does anyone out there that has experience getting custom dice made have any idea what the costs would be?

Just something I was thinking about last night after making my MVP roll. I know the little numbered squares they give you with the game work, but a die would be so much nicer.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Still nicer to roll one dice rather than two.
And you don't have to explain what you're doing to someone who isn't in the know.

I use a D20, you can get this one from like every role-playing shop in the world. And if you roll 17-20 you simply roll again. And for teams with lower player count,, I have a d12 (good for throwing stones too) ^^ I like to own a d16 though, but an order to germany for one single dice....

I got one from Chessex. They are fun. But as others have stated, they are definitely not a necessity. But having that one die to roll is just, well, more professional. :D

Just check a local fantasy store, some stock them, most can order them for you if they stock Chessex.

Or pick one up at the world cup (if you're not going, there's 6 guys from Berlin attending).

I tried that. I wished i was still playing AD&D. I could have killed a dragon single handed. Got about a dozen rolls before i had one below 16.

I use a d20, as it comes in handy when I roll MVP for opponents with teams "full" of journeymen :)

I always wondered why no one ever made a D3, which would be a D6 with a 1 on 2 sides, 2 on 2 sides, and a 3 on 2 sides.

I am having a total brain lapse, and I cant remember why I wanted one of these dice, bu I know it would be ncie for something!!! =)

Dice companies also make blank dice to which you can affix stick-on dots and write the numbers 1, 2, 3 twice....
