Take Root + Diving Tackle

This is tricky for me. Help me out.

Assume I have a Treeman with "Diving Tackle" skill. The Treeman has Taken Root but when a player leave his tacklezone he may use Diving Tackle and then be placed prone just to get rid of the "roots".

This is legal in my opinion, but what do the rules say?

From Take Root:

Code: Select all

A player that has taken root may not Go For It, be pushed back for any reason, or use any skill that would allow him to move out of his current square or be Placed Prone.

So you cannot use Diving Tackle once you have taken root.
