stashman wrote:Why is Ungor ST 2 ?

My proposal (skip the Ungor):

0-16 Beastmen 6 3 3 8 Horns GSM 60K
0-4 Beastlord 6 4 3 8 Horns GSM 100K
0-2 Centigor 8 3 2 8 Horns, Juggernaut GSM 130K
0-1 Minotaur (same as for Chaos)
Rerolls 70K
I'd lose Strength access for the beastmen right away. They're linemen -- make them only as powerful as a lineman need be.

Beastlord at 110k works for me.

Lose Horns on the Centigors, bring back Sprint and/or Sure Feet. They have four legs... shouldn't that be reflected in the skills?

bouf wrote:And you guys are right... No Mutation access for ungors.
If CD's get M access on a double, I'd say Ungors should get it on a normal roll.
A Beastman without M access isn't a beastman.

[Sarcasm on (mainly directed at JJ)] You can't have players with the same name, but on different rosters, having different stat lines, it's to confusing for everyone. [sarcasm off]

No typo, that's the exact stat line (and cost) for a Goblin so I just used that for ease. Maybe it is "totally horrible," but I like having sub-par LM along with all these big strong positionals.

What's the verdict on Drunk vs Bonehead-Frenzy? I like the randomness of Drunk, but the B-F combo has the advantage of not being a new rule. Hmm, I think I'm even leaning towards that myself...

Apart from the fact that a gobbo gets Dodge, Right Stuff and Stunty. ;)

Bah! Drunk should win hands down, but with GW's current desire to simplify everything, and the masses following....

GW Employee: "Hi! Fancy a game of 40K 5th edition? You only need to spend £1500 on an army. Got that? Cool! Roll a dice. A 6!! Well done, you win. Fancy another game?" :puke:

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Fair enough. Mutations on doubles for ungors, then? After all, they're ungors -- they are unworthy of favour from the Chaos Gods!

It's an experimental team; go with the experimental rule.

Code: Select all

0-16 40,000 Ungors 6 3 3 7 G/APSM ~
0-4 60,000 Gors 6 3 3 8 GS/APM Horns
0-2 90,000 Bestigors 6 3 3 9 GSM/AP Block, Horns
0-2 110,000 Centigors 7 3 3 8 GS/APM Bone-Head, Frenzy, Sprint, Sure Feet
0-1 150,000 Minotaur 5 5 2 8 S/GAPM (skills as LRB)
Rerolls: 70,000
I'm really starting to back this team and am thinking about adding it to my league as a house ruled team. (pending a positive vote that is...)

Are the Prices about right?

What 6 star players would they get?

Max Spleenripper
Wilhelm Chaney
Lord Borak the Despoiler
Icepelt Hammerblow
Grashnak Blackhoof
Morg 'n' Thorg

More feed back please!

Only part of that I disagree with is Icepelt Hammerblow. Could any other star player possibly take his place?

I knew there was one more Chaos star waiting out there, just couldn't put my finger on it. Good call.

No way! Keep the chainsaw, drop the ice troll. IMO, Icepelt is the odd one out of the first star player list. Thus, my list would like:

Grashnak Blackhoof
Lord Borak the Despoiler
Max Spleenripper
Morg 'n' Thorg
Wilhelm Chaney
Zzargh Madeye
