Don't understand a particular rule or just need to clarify something? This is the forum for you. With 2 of the BBRC members and the main LRB5/6 writer present at TFF, you're bound to get as good an answer as possible.
Really Stupid (Extraordinary)
This player is without doubt one of the dimmest creatures to ever take to
a Blood Bowl pitch (which considering the IQ of most other players, is
really saying something!). Because of this you must roll a D6 immediately
after declaring an Action for the player, but before taking the Action. If
there are one or more players from the same team standing adjacent to
the Really Stupid player’s square, and who aren’t Really Stupid, then add
2 to the D6 roll. On a result of 1-3 they stand around trying to remember
what it is they’re meant to be doing. The player can’t do anything for the
turn, and the player’s team loses the declared Action for that turn (for
example if a Really Stupid player declares a Blitz Action and fails the
Really Stupid roll, then the team cannot declare another Blitz Action that
turn). The player loses his tackle zones and may not catch, intercept or
pass the ball, assist another player on a block or foul, or voluntarily move
until he manages to roll a successful result for a Really Stupid roll at the
start of a future Action or the drive ends.
Could a rules lawyer interpret that as a player being able to stand up from prone, even though they failed the RS roll. I know it shouldnt, but would a small reword do for there? Same applies for Bonehead and possibly Wild Animal.
I am just asking as it came up during the bugtesting of the new client being made for lrb5 over on fumbbl
Well, if you want to nitpick I'd say it doesn't say anywhere that they may stand up, also, I'd say "The player can’t do anything for the
turn" is pretty clear.
That said, it wouldn't be that bad to allow bonehead/really stupid players to stand up IMO, makes sense from a fluff point of view at least.

I would inflict grievous bodily harm on any rules lawyer who tried to tell me that failing RS, BH, WA etc. would allow a prone player to stand up.
The key phrase there is "the player’s team loses the declared Action for that turn". That should make it pretty clear as to what happens if you botch the roll.

A rules lawyer could argue that. We'd both know that it's not what was intended, but I would agree with the rules lawyer that it's what it should be.
Having played a game where I've had a minotaur spend roughly 8 of 16 turns (whereof 6 of them were in the one half alone!) laying about flat on his back, unable to stand up due to some abysmal dice rolling with regards to getting him up, I've come to that conclusion. Additionally, if you look at it from a just semi-realistic pow, it does not matter how stupid or wild an animal you are. If something has knocked you flat on your arse, and people are kicking you when are on the ground, you WILL get up if you are able. One thing is that you might stand around and go "Duh...where am I?" once you are on your feet, but you WILL get on your feet. Simple reflex and selfpreservation will let you do that.

Ah yes, but the rules lawyer could say that they can stand up, but they lose the move action, meaning they cant move during the turn after
Im just trying to make the rules lawyers jobs harder and it was brought up on fumbbl somewhere
While Prone, the player loses his tackle zones and may do nothing before standing up at a cost of three squares of his movement when he next takes an Action
To stand up, you must use three squares of movement when you take an action.
when you fail a RS roll, you lose the action and can't do anything.
Since you can't take an action, you can't spend the 3 movement needed to stand up. Thus you can't stand up.
a good rules lawyer knows how to read around fluff...which is what 'they stand around trying to remember what is is they are meant to be doing' is..it is not a rule, but a description (fluff) explaining what is happening..
It means that if you fail your really stupid roll and are not standing around the opposition will stand around your player and foul him to death without any dice rolls or penalties.
from stunned to prone it´s automatic, but to stand up, you have to move. When he´s to stupid, you can´t move ^^ Although it´s funny to be stupid to stand up ^^

hmmm, now I understand, why there is a Goblin next every time. "Okay, big unz, now put dat Hand left on da Ground. Okay, now put dat Hand right in the Ground. Good. Now Push.... not the Orksä, the Ground, you blockhead."

Can the player beside be "Boneheaded"? Becuse of this it will be no problem: The player loses his tackle zones and may not catch, intercept or pass, assist another player on a block or foul, or voluntarily move
Or "Wild Animaled" becuse it says: On a roll of 1-3, the Wild Animal does not move and roars in rage instead, and the Action is wasted.
In theory, yes, I think. In practice, how would that occur?

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.
The official answer is in the rulebook and you already know what it says, everyone except other RS players can help. You can't force in an exception where one doesn't exist.
Now if you think it should be changed talk to the BBRC or houserule it. I agree that fluffwise it doesn't totally make sense. I'd prefer that is said
"If the Really Stupid player is in the tackle zone of one or more players from the same team who aren't Really Stupid, the add 2 to then D6 roll."
That would cover failed Boneheads and Hypnogazed players. Wild Animals aren't covered, but since they are yelling anyway they can yell at the RS player to move it.
