Seems like a pretty decent team to me but I would give mutation access on a regular roll for everything but the minotaur (and maybe even him). It is almost the same as a chaos dwarf team, but a bit weaker as the 6 chaos dwarves are better than the 4 gors/beastigors. And the centigor is not as good as the bull centuar. So no power issues. I think new teams should be cautious on the power level. So give mutations to all.bouf wrote:I'm really starting to back this team and am thinking about adding it to my league as a house ruled team. (pending a positive vote that is...)Code: Select all

I had a thought about this one…
Atropabelladonna is right that it’s just a revamped CDwarf roster… Which got me thinking: “How can I make this more unique without going Crazy?”
It struck me that people are always trying to come up with a Khorne roster. With the Nurgle roster out there too… Well maybe this would work.
The Centigors and Minotaur already have frenzy… If I add frenzy to the Gors and Bestigors, then all the positionals will be Wild Eyed Loonies!
So it would look like this…
What do you think? In one step you could have a Khorne roster and a Beast roster… They would have a truly fearsome Blitz attack but little Strength for Blocks or Defence. Their altered M access makes them a little unique and helps set them apart from the other Chaos rosters. You’d be a little mad to run with all the Frenzy guys on the pitch at once but if it worked it could really pay off!
1. Is this going too far?
2. Was it better the first time?
3. Norse already have a noose on Frenzy, does this mirror that a little too much?
4. The Huge amount of Frenzy would probably push the team into a Tier 2 position, which isn't a problem, but is it too much gimmick?
Also for you old dogs… Is there any fluff for a Khorne team? (I’m a third edition boy) All I remember from my limited exposure to 2nd ed is the Nurgle guy eating Pop-Khorne… Would a “Beast” Khorne team violate the spirit of any old school fluff?

I have no problems with it. Lots of frenzy is interesting but I have to agree that it does step on the Norse team a bit. I do like it better than the original team though. Another skill that relates to Khorne is +1AV (armour of khorne). You could go that route if you wish. A bit more bland than frenzy...bouf wrote:I had a thought about this one…

I wouls still give them mutation access on everyone except the mino (and that is just to play it safe).

Coincidentally, I've created a beastman team which was actually supposed to be a revamped chaos dwarf team. Playtest so far shows that it is a solid team (like chaos dwarfs) but not unbalanced, as far as I can tell from the feedback.
You can see it here - purely for your inspiration, and not to supplant the original roster posted:

No denying it is a decent team, its just gors instead of chaos dwarves with a slightly different bull centuar. I would still say its weaker than a chaos dwarf team. If that is what you are looking for, which is not a bad thing. Lots of new team proposals are way out to lunch (just look at the SG boards). Its better to err on the side of caution.plasmoid wrote:Hi all,

I don't know if I like the idea of trying to make it the beastman and the khorne team. Gives it the chance of not really being what someone wanting a beastman team wants or what someone wanting a khrone team wants. I'd stick with just making it fit the concept of a beastman team.bouf wrote:What do you think? In one step you could have a Khorne roster and a Beast roster…
