2 Mummies

I think this is a very good lineup. Very balanced. Very solid.

On thursday the team will play its first match in a league with 7 teams in two conferences so 4 from each is going to play-offs.

This is how it looks in my conference:

Rookie East
Diablos Flesheaters - Necromantic
Templehof Horrors - Necromantic
Sandy Coast Sailors - Wood Elf
Gunna Winnerz - Goblin
Tobacco Farmers - Halfling
Rowdy Rascals - Human
Darkside Gravediggers

I will have a nice start playing Gunna Winnerz. Probably will it be a win, but the goblins will get 240K inducements but the team is of only 11 players!

With this conference I am glad that I have a speedy team (4 ghouls, 2 wights) and I don't think I will be missing mummies so much. 5 rerolls will make me try some crazy stuff to get spps against the goblins.

I get back with match report on how I did vs Gunna Winnerz.

First game against the goblin team. I won pretty easy with 3-1 (cas 4-1).

It was pouring rain so once I hade the ball, even with 5 rerolls I keept it with the carrier. The only TD the goblin got was a flying gobbo one turner TD.

Got MVP+Cas on a zombie - Block (a boring, but needed skill)

2 Ghouls with TD, a wight got TD and another ghoul Comp and last a zombie that got a cas. Good spreading on the spps and tomorrow I play the halflings :D

Hope for better weather so I can make some Comps.

I was fouled and did it right back on his troll - killed it and that made the goblin team stop fouling!

Think of going with Mighty Blow on the wights, 3 ghouls with Block as first skill, one ghoul with wrestle and zombies with block. The skeleton that killed the troll on a foul will get Dirty Player for the fluff!

Got 60K and will save for my first mummy and I hope for 50K in tomorrows match.

Advices are welcome on the wights developments.

I'd get tackle on at least one Wight (I suggest tackle to both) before getting Mighty Blow. You'll be facing lots of dodge in your league. Getting Mighty Blow as the second skill makes a good combo.

Guard is also a very good skill for a Wight, but given your league I'd favor Tackle.

I was going to suggest Sure Hands on a Ghoul, but as you have 5 RRs, it's not really worth it for now. But if your opponents start to get Strip Ball (watch-out for those War Dancers), then Sure Hands is almost a must have. You can get Sure Hands after Block on one Ghoul.

id go with cramys idea

in our league, the nerco player had tackle on one wright and MB on the other. the tackle one took alot more players down and the MB one and was the bigger threat to most teams.

MB would be my third choice. tackle and guard would be my first two

Played against the halfling team and won only by 2-0. But I was going for the opportunity to get spps on som hard-to-get-spps with so I scored with my skeleton and tried with my zombie... Got 50K winnings so now I have one Mummy.

Wight got skilled and I got AG - Yippi!!! AG4 Wight is more than i was hoping for.

One ghoul also skilled and I got a double. Hmmm... it was a tough desicion but i gave him Mighty Blow, just to have him like a blitzer going to take out others (hopefully).

Hmmm... Score with that MB Ghoul a lot; two TDs and two CAS will get you a killer. He'll go a lot farther towards justifying his cost once he's got Block; then he'll be a very effective blitzer, giving you more options on your Wights.

Congrats on the +AG Wight -- that's all kinds of coolness. Count me among those who think you should get Tackle first with the other one, and then MB.

It was time for the third match. This time against a better team, one of the Necro teams - Diablos Flesheaters.

It was like 2 hours of hell, curses, banging heads against the walls and throwing dice out of my window!!! Aaarrgghh wath a sick match.

My dices went so bad it was like 5 rerolls was not enough. My opponent hade Hack N Slash and he took out one of my ghouls in turn two, just to protect my mummie. I blocked Hack and he was out, luckily!

The Diablos Flesheaters was in a lead 1-0 untill turn 16 when my ghoul just took up the ball in a tacklezone, dodged and did two go for its and then TD!!! And I said - No overtime mate, No way!

This was one of my worst match ever. All went his way and nothing went my way, except for four things: 3 dead players regenerated and the TD.

No players skilled up and one ghoul got smashed ankle (but I keep him, he is going to be my wrestler) and my AV7 zombie died (who cares, he was a worthless zombie anyway). I wish my mummie would be better. Doubleskulls, Both Downs or Three Dice Pushback. You get the feeling about the match.

My AG4 wight got a comp and the MVP, thats good as his spps are 12 now and the mighty blow ghoul was the scorer made his spps go up to 11.

Next match will be against the humaplayer Rowdy Rascals.

With 60K in my treasury I will save for nex lousy mummie or get some zombies just to have extra players.

I lost casualties 1-6 (his flesh golem did 4 cas, he was a monster this night!)

I keep in touch.

Sounds like you did well to get any result when your team was underperforming (aka pants dice/nuffle hates me). your MB ghoul could become great with block and tackle. Would free the AG4 wight to get skills like sure hands and strip ball. Other wight and mummies to get the teams allocation of guard.

The undead was up for a new match against the human team. He is a new rookie player so I helped him under the match wich almost costed me the win :D

Well I got a grip and won 2-1 and 4-1 casualties.

I rolled good! Double on one ghoul, 10 (no double) on another ghoul and the Mighty Blow ghoul got both TD and cas, so i got block on that player.

On the double I picked Mighty Blow again on the ghoul (nasty, fast and hardhitting) but I didn't get MA or AV on the last ghoul, I took block. MA7 or 8 don't feel like a much diffrence and AV8 is good but Block will help me win the league.

I was unlucky on te MVP - the journeyman zombie got it, but he also was injured with fractured skull so I didn't buy him. If he hade a lighter wound (broken neck) I would have bought him.

Now I have 120K and I'm planning to buy another mummy, but I think I'll wait to see the others teams TV before doing so.

You know it's a rough league when a broken neck is a 'light' injury. lol.

Don't hold off hiring a Mummy because you're afraid of inducements. Plow ahead.
