I had thought about that but it's mothering Sunday and im not sure if that would get in the way for some people. If you can do, and have no objections to it, I'd recommend the weekend before (1st/2nd March) as it's in the middle of Waterbowl (16th/17th Feb) and Monkeybowl (15th/16th March).

I know what you mean about the 3 tournies in 4 weeks. My 1st choice was that weekend until i found out it was mothering sunday.
Ive been and booked the room for the 8-9th March. Didnt get the private bar as i was quoted the wrong price and it worked out an extra £60 not £10, so it's a trip down the staire for drinks.
Am doing the rules for the tornie as we speak, just playing with ideas for TR and skills.

I was thinking of just keeping it simple: 1 skill, 2 skills, 1 skill, 2 skills, 1 skill.
I was also thinking of having a special rule:
I was also thinking of having a special rule:
What do you think? Just thought it would a little bit of extra fun to the games.Bearded snot
Seeing as this is his tournament the Bearded Snot like to take a hands on approch in some of the games. Seeing himself as one of Blood Bowls bigest 'star players' he has a tendancy to run onto the pitch and grab the ball, then while the players are slugging it out run around showboating.
At the start of each turn when the ball is on the ground roll a D6. On a roll of 6 the Bearded Snot runs onto the pitch, the ball scatte 3 times. If at any time during the scatter the ball lands on an occupid square the player must attempt to catch the ball as if it had 'bounced' to them.

Well after rather extensive talks within the ECBBL regarding 'tourney specific special rules' in the run up to Pearlies the general view was that a tourney special rule should be a very minor difference or at least one that is not likely to change the entire match.shaniepoo wrote:...What do you think? The main thing people seemed to have a gripe about was how the special rule would negatively effect their team so if anything opinion seemed to welcome a little bonus in the game but frown on a rule that was only a negative thing.
Of course, make of that what you will...

Ok, now that the NAF world cup is over i can start to get things sorted for the Bearded Snot
Ive made a start on the rules, got the room booked, working on food (crust of bread and beer), trophy for each award and how im going to get the tables from the new place where the club play to the Gregson.
I will get a sticky up sometime in the next few days.

That seems like it could be quite decisive on occasion. How about something simple like: The Bearded Snot has a soft spot for the underdog. If you start your turn with less players on the pitch than your opponent, roll a D6. On a 6 the BS has decided to take matters into his own hands and runs onto the pitch to join your team! He has the same stats and skills as a normal Snotling, and starts his action adjacent to any of the sidelines (but not in the endzone). The BS leaves your team at the end of the drive, though of course he may return later in the game!shaniepoo wrote:What do you think?
