I do not go to many events, but i do run my own thw Troll Bowl in Preston. If that is anything to go buy everyone has a great time playing and meeting up.

I am going to the Manchester event just because it is close and will save me alot of money.

Lets not let GW break up Blood bowl anymore than they have done :D

Pippin will be at the Roze Bowl and I think he's one of the NAF UK tournament team now so you shouldn't have a problem.

Was that mentioned in a different thread? Because I don't think anyone said "bargain" here.

I am sure whatever it is will be available in some number (small or large), but I feel it is unwise to assume they will be at bargain prices. ebay is a little bizzar in that respect, you can end up paying way over the going market price as well as way under.

Take a look at NAF dice as an example. I got my green ones (recently OOP at the time) for £4-5, but all the other auctions for green ones around that time went for £25-35. I got a bargain; the guy who paid £35 didn't.

Even less of a bargain when you think of the number of people who asked me if they can have green instead of Orange. No problem. I just send them green instead....

(£35... really. I have never even thought to look at that, people really pay that? They can join the NAF for a sixth of that price! (and we include shipping in that. )

Yes, really. When I got my green ones I even saw the current colour of NAF dice sell for a price in the region of £25+ (can't remember exactly what, but it was of at least that magnitude). Could hardly believe my eyes. Heck, there are 3 white ones on now for £9.99 +£1.50 p&p!

Anyway, it did make me realise I'd been carrying around potentially hundreds of pounds worth of plastic in my little dice box, on the assumption that ebay is an accurate reflection of true market value for NAF dice (which it may not be).

Lucifer says that GW have made concessions and so the Roze Bowl will not be going ahead. This is great news as it means hopefully I can play Geoff again when he is ill (or pretending to be ill anyway).

Big Dave - any idea what the concessions are?

does anyone know what time the BB tickets go on sale? And is it definately Friday 15th? Don't they normally go on sale on a saturday? Do we still just ring GW mail order? Sorry if answered on last 8 pages already...nothing on specialist games GW events page(??)

Still can't work out why I'm going, as I'm coaching Khemri (sob!). Lots of pouring rain ahoy!!

Oh yeah, now I remember! It's to promote our own cheap-as-chips charity tourny Thrudbowl 19-20th July in Bognor Regis, all proceeds donated to Cancer Research UK. Tickets are £18, but food and board are NOT included. If you reserve online on the website http://www.thrudbowl.comwww.thrudbowl.com, BEFORE I update it on friday, your ticket is only £13.

We have plenty of awards and some prizes, a Wandering Thrud, a Dockbowl for the bottom four teams, and are bringing back Thrudweizer by popular demand!!

In the Auction this year we've got an Eavy Metal Archive Painted Miniature from the LRB5 rulebook obtained by Jervis himself! There'll also be LOADS of other cool stuff this year (I've agreed to do a Bush tucker trial if we raise more than last years auction, its amazing what an incentive this has been for the others).

Also for your evening entertainment at the local pub, a BRGA member and the landlord will be suffering a sponsored Waxing! One for the sadists amongst you (everyone, then...).

Come on, its for "CHERITY"!!!

Yes, if some people are in the know as to what this added value is then can they spare a sentence or two for the rest of us?

The rules pack is now out

One obvious error already:
a team must contain 11 rostered players. Star players not counting towards this total.

Sucks for Norse, Goblin etc but I hope it will be recognised as an error. The rules do contradict themselves on this point.

Oh and tickets are on sale 23rd of Feb.
