Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!
Warpstone wrote:An interesting suggestion. Mutating gobbos are amazing fun. Though the big handed Gobbo becomes less useful once the other teams earn enough SPP to get tackle. There's no real counter to leap besides positioning a series of wedges between the ball carrier and leaper. At the very least, Leap should intimidate your opponent a little more.
However the Goblin can get Leap as well, and since it can only be used once per turn you will most likely need to dodge in or out of where the Ball is. No reason not to give them both leap. The good thing is that a Two Headed Goblin is dodging on 2+ no matter what!

Mutating Goblins would keep me up at night if I thought I'd ever encounter one. Two Heads, VLL... Prehensile Tail to go along with SS/DT (-3 to dodge!) ... it's all good. It's a very good thing you can't have Mutations on Gobs on an Orc team! That would be disturbing.
It strikes me that CP and UW would actually be nice and competitive in a very long season, but anything less and they're pretty nerfy.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.
Well, my team just had their fist match against the orcs, and got slaughtered, partly some strategy mistakes on my part, but the dice just weren't with me. To make matters worse, my gobo is missing the next game. Hopefully they'll do better next time.
