After playing for two seasons in our club, we now believe we've been playing the 3 dice block wrong.
We've been playing that you only have to double a players strength to get a three dice block. But one of our members was rereading the rules and noticed that it says (pg 9) if one player is MORE THAN TWICE as strong , three dice are rolled.
This seems to indicate that a strength 4 vampire blocking a strenth 2 Slann catcher, he would only get two dice unless he gets a support.
Wow, this makes a big difference. We had been playing you only have to double the strength.

Even more complicated: Assists don't negate each other, but add up to the players strength, so a STR 5 mummy blocking a STR3 Lino with 3 assists will only get 2 dice if the lino has an assist on the mummy, hence STR 5 +3 = 8 vs STR 3 + 1 = 4. 8 is not 2x+1!
