+ ag on a Dwarf Lino?
Im currently playing in a short league (well getting hammered in one!) with my Dwarf team. Theres 3 weeks left (2 games per week) and i rolled 11 for my Dwarf Lino....Zoglug. Now im wondering would you take the +ag or would you take something else bearing in mind theres a short time left in this league? Heres the team.....
1) Firebreather Longbeard 4 3 2 9
2)
3) Levinas Blitzer 5 3 3 9 Guard
4) Bailey Blitzer 5 3 3 9
5)
6) Lucifer Runner 6 3 3 8 Block
7) Mrs. Stick Longbeard 4 3 2 9
8 )
9) Zoglug Longbeard 4 3 2 9 (rolled 11 for his first skill)
10) Shaniepoo Longbeard 4 2 2 9
11)
12)
13) Sann0638 Longbeard 4 3 2 9
14)
15) Fireolli Slayer 5 3 2 8
16) Pubbowler Longbeard 4 3 2 9
DECEASED:
Pippy Slayer - 1 Game
Joemanji Longbeard - 1 Game
Nippy Longskar Slayer - 3 Games
Joemanji died for a second tome after being drafted in as a journeyman.
Any advice would be great.
Cheers

It's not a categorical no, but it's a no nonetheless. In a long season, with a healthy team, +AG on a Longbeard can do you some good. In your circumstances, take Guard.
Oh, and fire the -ST guy. Even in old rules without Journeymen, fire the -ST guy. He's not worth his TR, and he's certainly not even close to a Journeyman Longbeard (the best Journeyman there is).

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

I'd take a regular skill instead (almost definitely Guard). With MA 4, the extra point of AG still doesn't make them good ball handlers and they are too slow to make dodging worthwhile.
It's tempting to pick up +AG on a Dwarf team when you have the chance, but your blockers just aren't fast enough to make it worth the +40k TV.

dwarves are another team i've only played a dozen games with, but my suggestion, based mainly on what i've read, is that the dwarf team sucks at ball handling. at the moment you only have 3 ag3 players, out of 4. if you aren't able to buy another runner you should take the ag, so that you have the players to actually pick up the ball, in case it all goes tits up. even on a dwarf team its not hard to remove 3 players from the game, if not the team, at which point you'd be worse of than a lizard team without skinks.
go for the ag. play safe until you get some more players, because at the moment you can't afford to lose any, and you need wins to get more players. i'd go runner, slayer, linos, but the first two are interchangeable, if you feel 4 ag3 players is enough.
keep us updated, i'm interested to hear how it plays out.

I think you made the right call with MA4 and a short season.
But I was posting to say how pleased I am to see I've lasted this long without getting hurt!
And how unsurprised to see that I haven't got a skill...

Don't take the AG.
