Bembel Bowl... which team to take ?

Post by traveller »

Maybe i can finish painting my Shadowforge Elves in time until the Bembel Bowl. :)

I think, i can play these minis as Amazon, HighElves, Elves or Woodelves. Right ? And because i just played Orcs, Humans and Ogre until now i dont have any experiences with this kind of team.

Any advices or help for a Beginner-Elves/Amazon Coach ?
Which team is easier to play or with more fun ? The Bemble Bowl is a 110 TR Tournament. To make it even more complicated, for the Bembel Bowl i have to give 5 skills in advance to 5 players...

At the moment, just reading the stats, i prefer the Woodies or Amazones.

I think Amazons are easier to play than WE as you will have more players in the team and Dodge keep them more alive.

So maybe you should try to coach the ladies

A 14 player setup will do as followed:

4 Blitzers (360k)
1 Catcher (70k)
9 Linewomem (450k)

4 RR (200k)
1 FF
1 CL

Concerning the skills:
Let's be boring and take 4x guard to the Blitzers and 1x Block for the Catcher

Cheers

Never taken either to a tournie but I'd be thinking:

360 4 Blitzers
400 8 Linos
200 4 rerolls

Then the rest depends on whether you can take inducements:
If yes, Babes & Wulf are worth a thought. If not an apoth, staff and a 13th man.
Guard on 3 Blitzers, Surehands on one (defense against Strip Ball and reroll loss), Wrestle on a lino (to help with Dodge/Blodgers).

240 2 Wardancers
360 4 Catchers
350 5 linemen
150 3 Rerolls

Frenzy & Strip Ball on the WDs, Kick on a lino, 2 Catchers with 2 of Block, Side Step, Diving Tackle, Wrestle).

I would favour Amazons if you had inducements, Woodies if you don't.

Stick two WW in with girlies and use them as Norse

I use my Bunnies as Zons. You can't have too much Guard. d

Hm, no thrower ? Why ?

If Amazones i though about :
4 Blitzers (360k)
1 Thrower (70k)
2 Catcher (140k)
6 Linewomem (300k)
4 RR
1 FF
1 Assist
1 Cheer
Skills: 3 Guard on Blitzers / 2 blocks on the Catcher

@PubBowler
no inducements at this tournament

You don't need a thrower, you don't want to throw anyway, amazons prefer a running game. Give the Ball to a Blitzer and cage your way to the front.
Your opponent likely won't manage to get you down and Guard will help you immensely.
The catcher is a nice thing as he gives you a good chance to hand off to if you ever get stuck.

@Traveller:

Mootaz gives you the answer why I won't use a thrower in a torunament team.

And with 14 players you also can foul as you have a lot of reserves---
