Tiers

Post by Beanie »

Although I have a decent size collection of figures, I have little experience of playing blood bowl.

I am trying to place teams into 4 tiers. Would it be poosible for members to list the teams (including) Chaos Pact and Underworld) they feel should be in which tier and why?

Thank you for the help

Tier 1
Tier 2
Tier 3
Tier 4

I'm not sure there are four accepted tiers.

Generally speaking, people talk about three:

Tier 3: Stunty sides: Halfing, Goblin & Ogre
Tier 2: Vampire, Chaos Pact, Slann, Underworld
Tier 1: Everyone else.

That doesn't mean that all the teams are equal but these are broad groups.

Now, who can point out the ones I've forgotten/messed up...

The tiering is based on win rates.

So although all three tier 3 sides are stunty, you could develop a non stunty roster to be tier 3.

Now here's where my memory gets hazy:

Tier 3: around 35% win rate
Tier 2: 40-45% win rate
Tier 1: 45-55% win rate

These numbers could be a little out but you get the idea.

You know, I'm sure vamps are also tier three given their negatraits...

(This IS without me looking at their win ratios, however, so take my musing with a pinch of salt)

Nope, Vamps are running at, and designed to be, tier 2.
