500K Inducements!
I am playing a High Elf team (TV253) and I will get 500K inducements, but its semi-finals so no stars or mercs. Help me out on what to pick.
Here is my Orc team with 5 RR, 9 FF, 2 AC and apo + 50K (saving for new Black Orc)
Blitzer 6 4 3 9 Block, Juggernaut, Frenzy
Blitzer 6 3 3 9 Block, Guard, Mighty Blow
Blitzer 5 4 3 9 Block, Guard
Black Orc 4 4 2 9 Block, Mighty Blow, Frenzy, Stand Firm
Black Orc 4 4 2 9 Block, Guard
Goblin 6 2 3 7 Stunty, Dodge, Diving Tackle, Sneaky Git
Thrower 6 3 3 8 Sure Hands, Pass, Block, Dodge, Kick-Off Return
Line 5 3 2 9 Wrestle, Fend, Dirty Player
Line 5 3 3 9 Block, Kick, Dirty Player
Line 5 3 3 9 Block, Fend, Tackle
Line 5 3 3 9 Block, Diving Tackle, Side Step
Troll 4 5 1 8 Loner, Stupid, Regenerate, Mighty Blow, Guard, Stand Firm
I was thinking of a wizard, 3 dirty player cards and 2 good karma cards. But with 2 dirty players I am thinking of a bribe.
The High Elf team is hard!!! 3 Guard players, a one-turner, two AG5 players, a ST4 player etc.
Help me out! Last time we played I lost 1-3 and I don't wana do that again!

The Wizard is a must. So that leaves you with 350k...
The Master Chef is really hit or miss, I can't recommend it unless the opponent has 3 re-rolls or fewer... and even then I am only a 50/50 advocate (I have had bad experiences 4 out of 5 times when using the Master Chef.)
That pretty much leaves you with extra apothecaries, extra re-rolls, bribes, cards, and bloodweiser babes...
Extra Apoth and Bloodweiser babes probably are not needed against High Elves (although the best elf coaches WILL hit back.) Extra re-rolls, no... Not much reason to have more than 3 or 4 with an orc team anyway (you might consider dropping one)...
So, I would spend my 350k on two bribes (100k) and 3 Dirty trick cards. Maximize the chances of getting that trampoline trap! With trampoline trap and a wizard, you'll have the best chances at stopping scoring drives.
It all really depends upon that Master Chef... because when you take away three re-rolls, you cripple some teams (although elf teams are typically better off than others.)

For me this is a quite solid advice. Take bribes and dirty tricks acompied with a wizard and hit the hell out of him.Jural wrote:The Wizard is a must. So that leaves you with 350k...

I agree with previous comments about a wizard. A must.
But I would push the Chef option.
Even if he has multiple rerolls he will have become used to playing with them.
Upsetting a coaches tactics is always worth doing and although bribes for a 12 man team with dirty players is a one of the better uses for them, that won't effect his tactics.

One of the big thoughts for me is, how many players does he have on his roster?
IMHO, you're already in a sketchy situation with only 12 players (including the gobbo, and the not-too-bright troll). I would be concerned about him attacking you, and leaving you with 8-9 players trying to defend him.
Now, if he only has 12 players, that makes things a little more tolerable. You should be able to outpunch him, and those bribes are gonna pay off big time during your fouling spree.
If you think he's gonna attack you, a babe or two may be worth it. Against the speed, you can't afford to be down too many players. Hurting him bad but losing the game isn't gonna cut it. It's playoffs baby!

I'll vote for the Wizard and three bribes too. The last 50 points are up for grabs. However, I'm afraid that 3 bribes might be overkill. You'll be using them mainly after you get a blitz off as they will probably dance out of contact of most of the team. However, definitely make the most of them and make them count.
Good Luck,

I lost the game 1-3
It was 490K so I took a wizard and I am not a fouler so I took 2 Good Karma and 2 Dirty Tricks. bad and useless cards!
With only one tackle player he was hard to knock down. When I fouled (once and only) I got sent off!
I got 60K cash so I can get another black orc but I have one match left in the league (this was the cup) and thats against a hard as nails chaos team with lots of mighty blow and claw, and the coach is a good basher!
So I keep the cash and buy the black orc a´fter that last game, but if I win I will get to the semifinals in that league to so I have a "don't know how to do" situation. A black orc is good, but without skills he is dead!

That's the problem with cards. They're fun, but often useless in my experience. It doesn't help that I keep forgetting to use them at the right moment.
Next time, try the bribes. With 3 bribes, foul every turn. Against a tough Chaos team this should help keep numbers somewhat even if you are the underdog. What kind of inducements are you looking at against the Chaos team?
I tend not to foul very much as often times there are more chances of getting sent-off than getting rid of a player. But with bribes, foul galore baby.
