New to Blood Bowl, Starting with Orcs.

Post by studderingdave »

i just got into BB after years of saying i want to start it. i only played one game before, and i started with orcs. i dont care for much of the range, so i converted my own team. ill post pics when my girl gets back from vacation.

i find the game to be very enjiyable, and orcs let me smash stuff which i really like. currently my 100k team looks like this:

1 thrower
1 troll
1 goblin
4 blitzers
4 black orcs, 3 with block
2 rerolls
1 cheerleader
1 asst. coach

this list was made for me with help from guys at the NAF site. i am currently converting a ugroth bolgrot for my team, and i have 6 spaces left in my tray for more players, prolly make 2 more gobbos and a 4 linemen for some flexibility.

from my first game i learned that trolls need to have people around them to really avoid stupid tests and orc AV really saves my ass alot.

I like Orc lineups with Troll and Goblins it gives you more options but
I would suggest you consider getting a 3rd re-roll next.

Yep. Orcs need more rerolls for ball handling. Block on the BOBs is always a good thing. Stand Firm, Guard and Mighty Blow are next. Orc Blitzers can become star players with only a few skill ups. If they get the opportunity to get stat increases, take them. That's just an almost automatic star blitzer.

That's a different ball game. Then your line up is a good one. I was thinking it was for a league. The guys at NAF told you good. That line up should do well for a tourney.

A troll is a 50:50 choice for a tournie.

And goblins are liabilities, Orcs need man advantage and Goblins don't help.

For a TV 100 tournie I'd go:

4 Black Orc Blockers
4 Blitzers
3 Linemen
3 rerolls
30 split between FF, AC & CL.

If you wanted a thrower (trading MA & AV for an extra Block player) then dump the staff and upgrade a lino.

For TV110 it depends on the skill set.

my list is pretty set in stone, as it is what i have painted and im not lookin at painting any more orcs for a while.

i am making my own blocking doce though, considering GW yanked them from direct order, and my NAF dice arnt dated to show for a while. of the five symbols on the dice, which one is repeated, is it the push arrow?
