Playestyle wise, whats the opposite of Orcs?
i just finished converting my Orc team, The Kween City Krumpers, and im in the mood for a second team that plays differently then my normally "smash everything" orc team. i would think the obvious pick would be something elven, but im still new to BB so ill leave that to the vets.
any help?

Mainly woodelves, highelves and pro elves. Skavens too, but they are more reliant on some bashing like the orcs. Same story with darkelves, but the low movement might make them feel a little like the orcs. Woodelves would be the team furthest apart I would say, because of the agility and high movement as strenghts, and the cost + low armor as weaknesses.

I like my trees, but in general I have been pretty lucky with their increases (one has Str 7 MA 3, Guard, another has a claw from winning the chaos cup, and I have had 2 Ma 4 Blodge breaktackle trees on fumbbl)
The thing he does is to save elves. AV 10 Str 6 is very nice to put on the line instead of Str 3 av 7, when you face hard hitting teams. If he after that can go in the tacklezones of some blackorcs, longbeards or whatever, its all worth it, it will make space. Its really great if you roll a 10 on his increase, as the movement negates one of his negatraits and pretty much forces the other team to mark him with something, as he will approach their cage if they dont. I took the Str 7 on the one tree because it makes him really unique and the other coaches pays alot of attention to him (and thats perfect) but Im convinced block is a better option for double 6.

ill prolly do dwarfs at some time simply becuase of the deathroller, that thing is cool as hell. i know i prolly couldnt fit it in a 100 tv team, but i would just like to run one to see what it does.
ultimatly i want 3-4 teams, but im happy with my orcs right now until i find something i really want to get into.

Good lineup really. I started most my Lrb5 teams that way. First purchase is an apoth and then a tree to get the number of cas against my team down. Catchers winns games but they are easy to build, so I take them later on.Der_Doodle wrote:I would play woodelfs without a tree (atleast at the beginning) Tree = Bashing = abit of orcish
So as a startup:
2 Wardancers
9 Lineman
2 Rerolls

Definitely take the Catchers late but you might consider starting with a tree & one less WD. Especially in a bashy league.FischerKing wrote:Good lineup really. I started most my Lrb5 teams that way. Saves lives from the get go, helps balance a slow to skill player with one that is very fats to skill.
Lots of pre LRB5 wood elf teams started with only 1 WD and enjoyed considerable success.

The thing about Elves, any elf, is that they are all ball handlers. Any one of them can pick up the ball and throw it or catch it. So starting with catchers or throwers is not as critical as on an Orc team, or any bash team, really. Just keep your skill ups balanced across the board instead of having just one or two score all the TDs. That way, when one dies, you don't lose the only player on your team with SPPs.

It's a Dark Elf world, we just let you live in it to provide fresh victims. - and I still want an Executioner to kill sauruses with.
