Mighty Morlocks (Goblin) Advancement?

Post by Marlow »

Salutations Readers,

My Star Goblin rolled a (non-double) Ten and I am not sure on AV or MV. He is usually the ball carrier so both could be of use. So I thought I would see what others suggest?

The team finished the last season in first place and went on to lose the Blood Bowl final, but an MVP on each player really helped get the Goblins skilled up!

Star Goblin #8 - Block, +Str +AV/MV ??

The Rest of the Team (been doing well on doubles)
Troll #1 - Block, Multi-Block, Guard
Troll #2 - Guard, Break Tackle
Looney - Block
Fanatic - Grab
Goblin #1 - Diving Tackle, Wrestle
Goblin #2 - Side Step, Diving Tackle
Goblin #3 - Side Step, Diving Tackle
Goblin #4 - Side Step, Block
Goblin #5 - Side Step,
Goblin #6 - Diving Tackle, Side Step, Jump Up, Fan Favorite
Goblin #7 - Side Step,
Goblin #9 - Block
Goblin #10 - Side Step,
Goblin #11 - Dirty Player

Nice gobbo :o +Av for me since you don't want him to die.

If it was a 55 then I'd be tempted by strip ball instead :)

It was a 64, have edited my original post.
Never even thought of Strip Ball on a Goblin. :D I usually just surround the ball with Diving Tackle and watch them fall over trying to get away.

On a ST3 gobbo, Strip Ball is golden. Almost as good as a WarDancer to get the ball loose in the cage. Imagine, dodge in the cage on a 3+ with RR, then one die-block the ball carrier with Strip Ball. At any rate, that's a moot point as you didn't roll doubles.

What I would take depends on the length of the league. For a short league, you want this guy to do as much as possible in the few games that are left. So +MA.

If it is a long league, then you don't want him to die, so +AV.

It is a perpetual League, so that makes two votes for +AV! :D

MV early, AV late definitely applies here. He is already all the player you could want him to be, so protect the investment with an AV boost. :)
