My two pro players are slated for block and dodge. At the moment one has pro and block and the other is just 1 SPP from her second skill after pro. I've found my pro players really get the SPP faster than the others, however, I suspect it may be hurting the overall teams performance.
A more concise skill load is as follows.
Pro Vamp 1: Pro, Block, (Dodge 3rd, and Sidestep or Jump Up 4th)
Pro Vamp 2: PRo, (Dodge 2nd, Block 3rd, Leap 4th)
The fourth skill will probaly change as the pro vamps tend to be more active, the pro re-roll on blood lust means they have less lost time. Of course on a really important move/action, I'll use one of the team re-rolls first.
Pro allows me to move the critical players first and then attempt more risky, but not vital plays, with the pro player. They also make great recievers as they may re-roll catches and even interception rolls
The ability to re-roll either bloodlust, hypnotic gaze, or even a non-critical block on a 4+ just makes these players more reliable. The down side is that it sets the skill development back a bit. On a short term league I'm not sure its worth it, but medium to long term it can be very useful.

I am going to start a vampire team. And I'm going to make it a little fluffwise.
3 Vamps
8 Thralls
5 Rerolls
Vampskills will be:
1. Block, Guard, Mighty Blow (a good helparounder)
2. Block, Sure Hands, Sure Feet (good ballcarrier)
3. Frenzy, Tackle, Mighty Blow (a unpredictable killer
)
Thralls is going to have: Sure Hands, Wrestle, Block, Tackle, Kick etc.
On a double I think I will get Thick Skull on a thrall, just to make him a better lunchbox! Is that bad? or good?

Dont take this player without block. Vampires are already somewhat starved for re-rolls (esp without dodge) so taking frenzy without block is really asking for trouble3. Frenzy, Tackle, Mighty Blow

I tried a surehands vampire once but I really cant recommend it, the extra ballrunning potential isnt sufficient to make it as useful as a vampire that took other skills.
I think you should consider sidestep on the vampires, it lends itself to the three roles you selected pretty nicely.
