Leader, dodge, sidestep, block, or BT. Many good options foryou here.

Leader because its the best player for it. Dodge for the cool combo with BT as well as to stay standing (and are also on a team with plenty of dodge, it saves skink lives). Sidestep for later combo with one of guard/BT/frenzy. Block for boring but reliable. BT because having a few mobile saurus is very very useful.

As a sidenote: personally I'd take the first two saurus that skill as BT because its nice to have some mobility early and because it slows the development of those saurus relative to later ones that take block so your saurus become much more likely to hit the second skill together.

Edit: just noticed this bit.... take a saurus :)

Ultimately, you want:

2 Saurus with Block, Break Tackle
2 Saurus with Block, (Side Step OR Stand Firm)
2 Saurus with (Block OR Wrestle), (Tackle OR Frenzy)

Block/BT is the higher priority player, and there is something to be said for starting with BT on the third Saurus (unless one of the first two is about to go up). Wrestle Boy, if you even take him, is #4 or 5 at earliest. SS/SF is not a very high priority either, as Skinks can take SS and ST4 is a lot like SF anyway, but that's where the doubles tend to do the most good. It's a bit premature to be developing that guy (well, other than just giving him Block), but... that's where the doubles go.

On balance? Good arguments for SS, Block, BT... hmmm.

Do you have a rookie who's close to going up? If so, consider BT or SS on this guy and get the rookie Block: 3/4 of your starting first Saurus skills with Block is a nice mix.

Do you have a Block Saurus who's close to going up? If so, consider Block or Side Step over BT on this guy, because the Block guy can then get BT.

Neither? Get BT or Block. It's just premature for SS, unless you're about to get some more skills on other guys.

Leader is a third skill, like Kick. Too bad, huh? MA8/Stunty plus MA6/ST4 plus Kick is just wrong.

Can you explain a bit why this is, Matt?

Went with Leader in the end. Although I'm taking a break from the team (MBBL in general), they're in for the long-haul, so I'd want one sooner or later, so I might as well take it now.

Why Leader is a third skill? Because TRRs can be bought with cash, P skills (and skills in general) come at a premium on this team, and 3 TRRs are easy to get on 1M. I could see Leader and Kick replacing SS and SF... Lizards are fast enough to cover the backfield with two of those guys, really, and those can be Skinks (like the developed Skaven approach, but with fewer improvements involved because Skinks lack G access).

Why speed and Kick is killer? I shouldn't have to tell you that.

In the league i was in there was a Saurus that rolled 10 twice and he took +1 MA both times. Boy, we hated that guy, with his running all over the place like he was a skink or something.

There is no "I" in "TEAM", but there is an "M" and an "E", and that spells "ME"

Diving tackle is also a good option for a double.
