Slann Blitzer rolls doubles on fourth skill

Post by Warpstone »

So, my Slann blitzer has me facing a happy dilemma:
- he has Diving Tackle, Jump Up, Leap, Very Long Legs, Nerves of Steel, +1 AG, Dodge
- I've rolled a 5,5 for his next skill, so I can give him a Passing skill.

I use this guy as pretty much the blood bowling equivalent of a playmaking forward (the green Kaka or Messi  ) who gets the ball in midfield and distributes or carries it into the final third of the field for the TD.

I'm perfectly happy giving him the MV+, but can you think of another skill that would exploit the attributes he already has?

I might even consider ignoring the doubles for Guard. 2+ Leaps into the cage for an assist, and then Leap someone else in for the 2D blitz. I can't think of a Passing skill more valuable than that. Or Block.

If you really want to take a Passing skill, it would probably be Pass. Best odds for success.

I would say Block or Dump Off

From my experience with Slann, This Guy would be well served with teh MA!

A little extra pace for a "play-maker" is very good.
Combined with Leap and Jump Up, extra speed is even better.

For me, I'd take the MA or Block.

Yea, +MA, unless you've already got two or more MA8 players. I guess NoS fits with your description of what he does, but +AG screams Guard+Dodge+Side Step to me, he's an excellent blitz support character. I can't see a use for a passing skill on this guy, why pay 10k extra over the huge array of excellent skills available to him? If you need a player with passing skills, make it a lineman.

Thanks guys, I went with MA boost after all.

Seeing as scoring quick is the only way I can seem to keep the lanky green guys healthy, the MA8 playmaker should hopefully enhance my 2-turn offensive drill.
