Chainsaw fouling w/ assists
Can you do this? Use assists I mean. I'm sure you can but I was argued with by General Jason.

The assisting fouler doesn't want to get his foot chopped off?falconeyed wrote:I'm curious as to what the rationale was for trying to argue that you couldn't assist a chainsaw foul.

That brings up a related point.. are goblins stupid enough to assist a goblin swinging a ball that's heavier than they are? Sure, if the ball picks up a few gobbos on its travels it'll deliver an even more fearsome blow on final impact, but that is pretty suicidal even for a race that hangs around with trolls..

I don't think he has a question about the rule, I think he is questioning the logic behind the rule itself.
Basically he is suggesting that B&C players should ignore all assists, if I am reading his post correctly.

What the coach and fans will do to him is scarier than getting hit by the ball and chain, and scarier than risking getting his foot choped-off.
If a Goblin wouldn't be willing to be a "team player", I'd be sending him to the bottom of the river with a nice piece of concrete to keep him company ...

I also had it in my head that chainsaw did not allow assists. On checking the rulebook, I was thinking of Stab which states:
This seems to suggest (although does not explicitly state) that assists would not be allowed with Stab. Am I reading that correctly?BB LRB5 wrote:This player may attack an opponent with their stabbing attack instead of throwing a block at them. Make an unmodified Armour roll for the victim. If the score is less than or equal to the victim’s Armour value then the attack has no effect. If the score beats the victim’s Armour value then they have been wounded and an unmodified Injury roll must be made.

Wrong.Buggrit wrote:The rules state that if you hit somebody with a chainsaw you get +3 to the armour, nowhere does it state that bonus applies when fouling.
The skill description for Chainsaw specifically says that a chainsaw can foul and get the +3. And must roll to kick back while doing so.
