GW has confirmed yesterday the Chaos Cup as being October 4th and 5th!

Anouncing that Deathbowl VI: The Year of Chaos will be held in Ottawa on the 18th and 19th of October. (edited

The venue is very suitable, and has a bar upstairs with some food and is a short (2/3 mins) walk from a grocery store and numerous food and beverage outlets of goodness on bank street in downtown ottawa.

The website will be updated soon and we will have the rules up shortly. Presently they are the same as last year but with Chaos teams allowed to take mutations at the team selection phase for 10K rather than 20k.

Expect to see more exceptional trophies and custom dice along with a custom miniature. We are starting a tradition this year whereby we give out a miniature designed and inspired by the previous years winner. So this year we will be giving out a goblin designed by Alex Garrett and produced by IMPACT miniatures (they don't know yet, well they do now). Pictures as soon as we have them.
We are trying to move from prizes just for the winners to mementos for everyone who plays at the event

Current plan as I understand it would be to hold it at the store.

But if there is a Grand Tournament the same weekend ... need to check out some things ... (my biggest concern would be Allen not being at the store (along with someone to open it for me)).

ah, sorry missed the question, which is weird, cos I'm set for email alerts.

The plan is just for regular chaos to have the cheap mutation access. We don't allow the Chaos Pact team yet, although we are hoping too in the near future, along the with the bouncy Slann

Also we think Nurgle do ok anyway so don't need as much 'assistance'.

I have discovered a problem here in Canada for the dates of the Deathbowl Though. The 11/12 october is thanksgiving in Canada, therefore if we hold deathbowl that weekend we won't be getting many Canadians coming along so it looks like it will have to be moved.

The most likely date is the week later on the 18/19 which really doesn't help the synergy plan much at all

Yeah i know the date change is bad. Do we know for certain that the Chaos cup will be on the 4/5th? If it might not the 4/5th could be a good weekend for the deathbowl.

We will confirm as soon as possible.

Ok, so with thanksgiving (Canada) throwing a spanner in the works, the Deathbowl is going to be on the 18th and 19th of october. This is a week later than planned and 2 weekends after the Chaos cup. I am guessing this will p*ss in everyone's porridge and prevent folks coming from the UK from attending both. Sorry about this, being an expat limey I didn't realise when Thanksgiving was

I set the date for the Chaos Cup specifically to match the dates you were planning for the Deathbowl.

I cannot move them now.
