Sokitoomi

Post by Gazbane »

I am a Blood Bowl Newbie and I try to start with Lizardmen (I know that this is dificulty).

The League use 3rd ed. and Housrules. So I can get general Skills for my skinks normaly!

I can get "Lebensmüde" (right stuff ?) for my Skinks. And Sokitoomi has Throw Teammate.
So I can bild a Saurus Cage around my right stuff Skink and Sokitoomi and try to throw him. But with AG 3 I have a 50/50 chance when the Skink is landing. 50% -> Very big Problem. 50% -> Easy Touchdown.
I have a vew RR for that. Is it to risky?

Or I can bild the cage and wait for one turne. If he bild a wall, i will throw. But if he scatter his player for the incomming "flying" Skink, i will run with my cage.

Or is it stubit and I should use the cage / running Game.

Right Stuff is a racial characteristic now, so you can't take it as a skill advance at all (even on a double).

I made exactly the same post as Ian then deleted it quickly.

I suppose in Third Edition it could be taken, but i dont think this team needs to use TTM, only in dire circumstances ie 1 Turn left in the half.

Thought lizardmen didn't exist in third edition???

Well if you want to develop a TTM skink then I'd probably wait until you've got more TRRs first.

If the landing goes wrong then you've left yourself in a very dangerous position - and probably given possession away.

I'd concentrate on developing the running game 1st and then add the TTM play to your armoury once the team has developed more. Who knows you might get a +AG skink - and that would be a lot safer.

Throwing Teammate

Post by Gazbane »

Is someone Throwing an AG 3 Player with an AG2 Star-Player as his favorit tactic?
Wich are the Pro / Contras.
The Team doesn't matter.

With our Rules I can also get a Human Thrower for 110.000 GS. What do you think about that? (In a Lizardmen Team)

But then I am not sure, if I should take Sokitoomi for 180.000 GS in my starting roster. I don't think, that I would wait so long to buy him during the League. I think i will mainly take Skinks during the League.
But Sokitoomi is very good, even without the Throwing Teammate, i think.

Oh! And i have 1.250.000 GS for my starting roster.

Sokitoomi Lizardman Kroxigor 180,000 MA7 ST6 AG2 Av9
Prehensile Tail, Mighty Blow, Thick Skull, Throw Team Mate

180,000 for a basher without Block :o . Take a rookie Krox and lots of Saurus, you wont have too much trouble bashing people around. Forget about TTM plays, with a fast team and plenty of strength you don't need it.
