Back with the Ladies!!

Post by darren woodward »

So, my brief flirtation with Dwarfs (don't ask!) has been put on the back burner for the moment and i'm using Zons for Toy Soldier

1,100,000gp.
Must have at least 1 Fan Factor.
No star players.

Scoring

Swiss scoring 0-32pts

Skills and characteristics

After each game 1or 2 players will be given a skill or a characteristic increase. A player may not gain more than one skill or characteristic, but a player may be given 1 skill and 1 characteristic.

After:
Game 1: 2 players of your choice will receive a normal skill.
GUARD and err GUARD on Blitzers

Game 2: 1 player of your choice will gain +1 strength.
ST 4 on the 3rd Blitzer

Game 3: 1 player of your choice will receive a double skill.
mmm GUARD on a LineW??

Game 4: 1 player of your choice will gain +1 agility.
+1AG on the 4th Blitzer or perhaps on the solitary Catcher. Think the Blitzer is fav for this

I don't play enough to be creative :) Otherwise any suggestions?

Thanks, d

Maybe think about a ST4 Frenzy Blitzer.

But other than that, I wouldn't change much.

Oh i like that!! Thanks

Then again JP did that to me last week with a Human ST4/Frenzied Blitzer who ended up in the SI Bin. His other skills went on Throwing/Catching and we played the entire game in a Snow Blizzard.

I guess thems the breaks

Looking forward to meeting and playing against you Darren. I am still not sure what i am going to take Humans or Nurgle. I want to take Nurgle but they can be a bit of a head ache to use, as can Humans.

See you there. :)

well the bondi bunniez have had two successful warm up games so far (helps that neither of the guys can roll 2+ to catch in the EZ)

Big Bertha (ST4/Frenzy Blitzer) died in T7(2) attempting to crowd surf a WitchElf with the Ball (she caught it on the scatter) having rolled a Blitz Defence on the KO table. Got to love this game!!

If Trev has sent his forms off then he will be down on the list.

I am not dealing with the forms, i am just help advertise and run the BB on the day. If he needs an entry form you can PM with his email and i can send him one. Needs to get it in ASAP.

I will check who is on the list today and if i see a Trev then i will let you know.

What about blodging up the linewomen a bit?

Only 4 block isn't a lot if you are wanting to bash and some Blodgers for the LOS will help you keep the fragile AV7 gals alive, will also take tacklers away from your Blitzers. Wrestle is also nice for fodder as it can knock down opposing players and take away some inititative.

Of course the ever popular leader on a thrower is nice, but you can usually get plenty of bodies aned re-rolls for zons as it is.

Block on a LW? You'd be wasting the Double :)

No Thrower for me, but 1 Catcher and 4 Blitzers etc

Thanks, d

I was thinking of taking a blodging linos or 2 rather than guard on the blitzers.

Agreed

I accidentally picked up a Zon roster at the BB and Frikipe (apologies for spelling) had taken 4 Guard Blizters and a Frenzy Lino.

Seems as good a choice as any...

I would go with a thrower over a catcher. You can use him (her) to throw the ball to any player on the team, and it is usually more important (and difficult) to get that roll right than the catch roll. The only time I would take a catcher with no throwers on the team would be if he (she) had extra movement (Human/Elves) or I was planning to groom him (her) as a pass-blocker.
