Lion Warrior 8 3 5 7 Catch, Dodge, Block, Leap, NEW SKILL?!?
You probably guessed my question already: what to take as his next skill?
I personally am in doubt between Tackle (for defensive purposes) and Side Step (nobody will hit him ever again!), but I also see the virtues of Pass Block or Shadowing.
Any thoughts?

A lot depends on the rest of the team.
Do you have a reliable cage breaker? If not I'd give him strip ball or tackle (depends on league - if there are a lot of Sure Hands runners then tackle). Then he can leap into the cage, knock the ball loose and open up the play.
If you've already got a War Dancer type player then I'd give him Side Step. Then take Shadowing next.
Or if you have a kicker you can kick deep - so give him Pass Block to cut off the easy pass into the cage.

I agree with the Pass Block suggestion, and also recommend following Ian's suggestion of creating another Pass Blocker. At least you can put this chap down one side of the pitch and know that the major passing threat will have to come down the other side.
The Strip Ball suggestion is also good for a cage breaker... though you might end up leaving his AV7 exposed at the beginning of the opponent's next turn. (Side Step might be a good follow up skill to help get him out of the cage afterwards.)
I wouldn't give this chap Shadowing. Instead I would try to create a Shadower from a third Lion Warrior. (A shadower should probably have Block, Shadowing, Dodge, Side Step, Tackle, and so the AG+1 and Leap encourage you down a different route.)
Cheers,
Martyn

If you are in a bashy league (i.e., your opponents are mostly Orcs, Chaos, Dwarfs, etc.) then I'd take side step. If you are in a speed/agility league (i.e., your opponents are mostly WE, DE, HE, etc.) then I'd go for pass block.

The guy dodges into a TZ on a 2+, with a reroll. Leaps on a 2+. Catches an interception on a 4+ with a reroll. The guy was born to have passblock.
