Love the idea of a chin saw!

No idea about the answer, though.

No, you only get the +3 when the Chain Saw player is Knocked Down.

Rule book says:
"A player armed with a chainsaw may take a Foul Action, and
adds 3 to the Armour roll, but must roll for kick back."
(Page 44 if you're looking)

So you can foul with a chainsaw and add +3 to the armour roll.

But he is asking if you foul a chainsaw wielding player on the ground, not if you foul with a chainsaw wielding player.

The original question could be taken either way, so to clarify:
If you are holding a chainsaw and you foul someone, you get +3 to the Armour Roll (not transferrable to the Injury Roll).

If you are fouling a chainsaw player who is lying on the ground, then I guess no, you do not add +3 to the Armour Roll. I only use the word guess as I can't find anything in LRB5 to say one way or the other.

My buddy and I played that you do not get "Knocked down" so no 3+, well that is what I argued and that is what we went with but I reallly wasn't sure.S.

If the player with the chainsaw is blocking or fouling they get the +3.

If you block them and knock them down, you get the the +3.

If you foul them you do not get the +3 because you have not knocked them down in that action.
