3 Re Rolls
130k in the bank

So far ive played 4 games, 2 wins 2 losses. During the last game, my Apo screwed up. My thrower who was suffering -1mv ended up dead after appearing on the Apo's table. So, for my next game im unsure if i should replace the Thrower or buy a Troll and save for a thrower. So im here asking the ever faithful for some advice making the decision.

Cheers

Zog

Replace the thrower and grab another lino or a goblin. If you get a goblin when he skills up give him catch, it'll give you a surprise passing play option!
Trolls tend to be good roadblocks but are very unreliable unless you always have somebody standing next to them.

Always err on the side of reliability...

Pass and Sure hands is a much better option than Real Stupid!

As suggested above, I'd be tempted to get a 12th player. Orcs are hard to remove, extra players only gives your team a better chance of maintaining the 'Man Advantage'.

I agree. The Troll ought to be your 13th player. Get the thrower, or even 2, first. Ball handling is much more important than having a big, dumb lump of blue flesh standing around with his thumb up his nose.

And get those BOBs built up as fast as you can. Block, stand firm, mighty blow. That'll win you games.

Get Stand Firm on the two Blitzers who don't have Guard. Then your Blitzers are the best WZ defense in the world.

I happen to really like Trolls in early Orc development, as they make great nose tackles. That said, I might go for the Thrower first.

Cheers for the advice guys. Thrower and Lino it is then.

The BOB's, while not being useless have caused only 2 casualties between them, ill be lucky if they pick up any skills before the end of the league!

Hi there!

Just a note, but with the LRB 5 Apo rules you can choose which of the 2 injury results you want. SO you do not have to take the dead-result. Not that it will help you in the next match, though...

Yeah, I was wondering why this hadn't been mentioned earlier.

As for development:

You haven't any Frenzy Blitzers. Sort that please.
Get a thrower (but only one IMO) next.
Troll as your 13th man.

I replaced the Thrower and bought a Lino too. Won my game though and have now got 80k in the bank :D However it wasnt all good news. I suffered a -1ag Blitzer, thankfully its one with no skills. Im contemplating firing him for a fresh blitzer, as ive got a well built up Skaven team next (3 str 3 Gutter Runners).

It is always easy to compare the best of one with the worst of the other.

Let's see

It is better to roll for injury with mighty blow then to fumble a pass with the pass skill. 8) 8)

lol

Yep, lose that blitzer. You only have a few players on your team that can handle the ball. A 2 AG blitzer is pretty much useless. He can't move, he can't pick up the ball after a blitz. He doesn't have any other usefull skills. Lose him.

Yeah. You can keep a Blitzer with -AV or a niggling injury, but any other loss is a deal-breaker.

Cheers guys, the teams advanced some more now....5 wins 2 losses, (should be 6 wins but one guy had to drop from the league).

01 Blitzer - Tackle
02 Blitzer - Guard
03 Blitzer - Guard, Tackle
04 Blitzer
05 Lineorc - Block, AV 8
06 Lineorc - Block
07 Thrower - Block
08 Black Orc - Block
09 Black Orc
10 Black Orc
11 Black Orc
12 Lineorc

3 Rerolls
110k in the bank

I only picked up normal skills so far, which is a bit of a pain in the arse. So ive been really original by taking Block, Block and even more block with a smattering of Guard/Tackle
