Bribing the ref on an injured/ko player with secret weapon

Hi all,

Can I bribe the ref to keep a secret weapon player even if he's ko or injured (so after using the apo) ?

"Once a drive ends that this player (=the player with the secret weapon) has played in at any point, the referee orders the player to be sent off to the dungeon to join players that have been caught committing fouls during the match regardless of whether the player is still on the pitch or not."

"...(a bribe ) allows you to attempt to ignore one call by the referee for (...) a player armed with a secret weapon to be banned from the match. Roll a D6: on a roll of 2-6 the bribe is effective (preventing a turnover if the player was ejected for fouling), but on a roll of 1 the bribe is wasted and the call still stands!"


So I'd roll for the apo first (if there is one) and then roll for bribes at the end of the drive and finally (if the player hasn't been put into reserves yet) for KO. You might waste the apo or the bribes, but you can try I think.

Yes you can use the bribe at the end of the drive to keep him in hopes that he'll recover from KO'd. The KO'd roll happens after the Bribe roll.

Since the Bribe happens at the end of the drive ... if he was Badly Hurt or worse ... you'd need to roll for the Apothecary immediately and then at the end of the drive you'd roll for the Bribe if you had recovered him to Reserves.

Just another question to be complete :

If the KO's roll fails, may the secret weapon try to come back on the following drive ?

I mean :

- My secret weapon goes KO
- The drive ends
- I roll for bribing the ref (it succeds
- I roll for my KO to come back : it fails !

Am I allowed to try again later ? I guess I do...

Yes, since the ref already said he could come back there's no reason he shouldn't be able to come back when he recovers.

If he's injured - save the bribe, as IIRC Stars can't use Apothecaries any more...
