There is clarification in the Spike! tourney thread re: prices and whatnot:

Rituro wrote:Quick question: the rules state that star players can be hired. In the case of chainsaws, are they hired at their LRB5 price or their BBRC 2007 price?
Good to see threads like this popping up! Now I know what kind of tricked-out teams to prepare for.civilian_number_two wrote:EVERYTHING is LRB 5.0.

No luck borrowing extra Ghouls then.
Playing without four will be much harder.
I'd also give some thought to Guard on the Wights as opposed to the Mummies.
They're much more mobile so you can get them where they need to be (near your ball carrying ghoul most likely).
And I'd drop one Cheerleader and upgrade a skele for a zombie.
Having a guy with AV8 on your defensive LOS along with the mummies is a good thing.

No luck with the Ghouls and seeing as my team is painted up and ready to go I would lose points if I take Ghouls that are not painted in team colours.
Guard on the Wights is interesting, I may do that as they are certainly faster than Mummies, would you get anything on the mummies?
Dropping the CL and upgrading the Skel makes sense, thanks.
As far as skills go I was thinking of getting them in this order
Sure hands
Guard
Guard
Dirty Player

Don't forget higher AG for dodging.wedge22 wrote: Guard on the Wights is interesting, I may do that as they are certainly faster than Mummies, would you get anything on the mummies?
And in this skill set, no skills on mummies.
With only four skills and two ghouls I'd be tempted to take Block or Wrestle on the 2nd ghoul (edging more towards Wrestle for anti Blodge) instead of a Dirty Player skeleton.
Make a it a bit more survivable and gives you a blocking edge.
And painting counting towards tournie points is just plain wrong.
Not your fault but it should be said...

We do not have only 4 skills it just depends on how much money we have to buy new skills etc.
Ok so no skills on the mummies and Ghoul 1 has Sure hands and G2 has Wrestle and they SH Ghoul has AG+1 too?
I guess I can get DP on a Skelly later on if I need help clearing the field.
As far as painting goes I know what you mean, but thems the rules.

Not sure where the +1AG went.wedge22 wrote: Ok so no skills on the mummies and Ghoul 1 has Sure hands and G2 has Wrestle and they SH Ghoul has AG+1 too?
I would suggest:
Sure Hands Ghoul
Guard Wight
Guard Wight
Wrestle Ghoul (Block if you're not confident with Wrestle)
And I hope your team is painted in Red & Black...

I like Guard on Mummies AND Wights, this will be a nightmare for your opponent. Mummies may be slow, but they are hard to deal with when they are protecting your cage or attacking the the cage of your opponent.
