Hypothetical Rotter situation.

Post by Spaceman_Spiff »

Suppose a Nurgle team won the Chaos cup and the coach was able to give one of his rotters Regenerate.... how would this work with Decay?

A) The regenerate roll will heal both injuries sustained
B) Both injuries should be regenerated seperately.

I'm leaning towards B based on how the skills are worded, but i'm not entirely sure.

Well the Regeneration description says:
If the player suffers a Casualty result on the Injury table, then roll a D6
for Regeneration after the roll on the Casualty table and after any
Apothecary roll if allowed.

Seeing as the Decaying player makes tworolls on the casualty table when one is caused, I would say that they do indeed have to make two separate rolls.

I totally agree.

Two injuries, two regenerations.

It's that simple.

I disagree.

I think you should roll once for Regeneration, after both Casualty rolls.

If you pass the Regeneration roll, then you can potentially cure 2 Casualties.

But I very much doubt if this query would be resolved by reference to the rulebook. It would have to be decided by the league commish.

Hope this helps

Very few issues can't be resolved by carefully reading the rulebook. I have to agree with Craigtw above. From LRB5 (emphasis my own):

Decay (Extraordinary)
Staying on the pitch is difficult when your rotting body is barely held together. When this player suffers a Casualty result on the Injury table, roll twice on the Casualty table (see page 25) and apply both results...

Regeneration (Extraordinary)
If the player suffers a Casualty result on the Injury table, then roll a D6 for Regeneration after the roll on the Casualty table and after any Apothecary roll if allowed. On a result of 1-3, the player suffers the result of this injury. On a 4-6, the player will heal the injury after a short period of time to 're-organise' himself, and is placed in the Reserves box instead. ...

As Regeneration is tied to the Casualty roll, not the Injury roll, two rolls means two attempts needed for Regeneration.

I'd say two regeneration rolls as well. I perfectly agree with Daefaroth's explanation.

I agree - two regen rolls.
