Why do Dwarfs only got 6 positional players?

Got a great idea and/or proposal for BloodBowl?

Getting secret weapon positionals, plus all opposing Big Guys getting severaly nerfed, plus freebooted apoths, plus getting Wizards back.... all of this is MORE than enough compensation for losing the Ogre. Plus they're even talking about twinking Piling On again. Dwarf coaches are never happy.
What's the point of being a dwarf coach if you can't complain. We Dwarve coaches are all about complaining and whining. Why do you think we have a book of grudges? We love to gripe and reminisce about griping.

Dwarf Commercial: "Griping! It's what's for dinner!"

The dwarf team is fine without a big guy. I honestly have never used a big guy on my dwarf team and they are immensely fun to play.

I thought the whining was supposed to be left to the elf coaches

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".

:D :D :D

That's a good one, but you obviously haven't been reading any of the posts in the BB Vault, talk about a bunch of whiney elf coaches. Good thing they don't all have their way, or else we would be stuck with elfbowl instead of bloodbowl.

Actually whining about teams other than your own being too powerful is an Elf Coaches Schtick. Whining about your own teams failings is a Dwarf Coaches passion.

The Book of Grudges clearly allows dwarf coaches to record all transgressions against his team; Piss and moan about how his team has been slighted in every aspect of the game; and Lord any win over his opposition as a triumph because his team is so underpowered. Therefore the win must be attributed to great coaching.

I love dwarves, but I honestly think that this team is lacking in no area except speed. They have access to four players with AG3 and honestly that is enough. Their linemen are positional players on the Chaos Dwarf team and so therefore IMO this team is ALL postional players. They have 2 troll slayers; Players that any other team would kill for. This is a great team.

I'll admit that this type of team requires good coaching to play successfully, but they are by no means underpowered by any means.

Except for Norse, they have excellent blitzers for that.

I think Dwarves at the moment are fairly well balanced.

That balance may well not be perfect, but it is good enough because its very hard to come to a conclusion either way. So its good enough.

Personally coming into the BB world with LRB 4 I liked the flavour thats Dwarves have. Not a strong team but a skilled team, which plays a slow bashy style.

they fill a niche of a bashy team without a big guy, thats pretty cool/unique/interesting.

And whether you find them boring on the pitch is really down to individual opinion. So what one person may say is slow/boring may be another players "cup of tea". The "another player" should surely be able to have this option.

I don't think big guys should be in the dwarf team, not every team need to be like everybody else.

I wouldn't mind seeing more positionals/choices in EVERY roster, so dwarves are no different in that respect.

Dwarf are balanced in the long run and I like blood bowl to be a game where you can develop your players, let them die and retire the useless.

But I tournaments I can see dwarf being good, BUT it takes a good coach to use them well. If two newbies played and one was dwarf and the other where human, I'll bet humans win most of the time.

I play a dwarf team at 221 TV and I am going up against a monster chaos team at 239 TV with LOADS of claw and mighty blow. If I get to recieve I can do good, but if I have to kick I will get atleast 3 players blocked and probably will some get injured. AV9 doe'snt matter when the claw is in the house!
