I wouldn't go for Diving Tackle unless you have a burning desire to see this guy fouled to death. I don't fould that much and I'd foul this guy just on principle.

Count this as another vote for Side Step unless you are feeling lucky and want to make him a player you'll take a lot of risks with and then you can give him Leap. Think of the spectacular things he could pull off.

I think I go Side Step and next will be Fend or Grab and use him as defence piece of player.

In my experience diving tackle players only go prone very rarely and get fouled afterwards (so far I have never had it happen to me...) :
1) because you can decide to use DT after seeing the dodge, most of the time you go prone it's a turnover (and then you can't be fouled)
2) most players won't even try to dodge away because the risk of turnover is too big (this is a good thing btw)
3) when they do try to dodge away from a DT player it means it's either at the end of their turn or they're in trouble, in both cases they probably won't have anyone left which they can spare to foul you

DT would be great on this guy. But since you already have 2 players with it I'd really consider Side Step or just skip the double and take tackle or mighty blow.

This mirrors my thoughts.

Re: Dodge. Not recommending it (Side Step is better here I think), but your concern about the # of Tackle players isn't necessarily the hugest issue: it's ST4/Tackle and Dauntless/Tackle that you want to watch out for.

Most Tackle players are ST3. ST4/Tackle is rare: ST4 plugs (BOBs, Nurgle Warriors, FGs) tend to leave it for their more Blitzer-y teammates. mobile (MA5+) ST4 players either are AG2- so have to think about BT after block (BC, Saurus), have Frenzy and lots of teammates ready to buy Tackle (Ulf), or have a skill vacuum to deal with (Saurus, CW), and all of the guys I mentioned tend to go for other skills anyway, like MB and Frenzy, over Tackle. That leaves the Horns guys. Oh, and Vampires, and occasionally a ST3-type who got boxcars on an improvement roll.

So if you're taking Dodge to stay on your feet rather than to maneuver, a ST4 guy doesn't need to worry too terribly much about Tackle, unless there's a lot of Chaosy stuff or several boxcars floating around. If you're building for development, take Dodge and then Stand Firm, or Side Step then MB. If you're building for now, take Side Step.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.
