Chaos Dwarfs for ARBBL

After shelving the Slann, I am going to try Chaos Dwarfs at the ARBBL. I've only played one game with them so far against Skaven which ended a 1-1 draw. My opponent was very unlucky not to win late in the second half. A Gutter Runner rolled 1 then another 1 when dodging away from a BC for a Touchdown.

The ARBBL is a TR 115. All skills are selected before the Tourney starts and are numbered 1-6 on the roster, the number being the Round for which the Skill comes into play (Skills for Rounds 2 and 5 may be 'Normal' or 'Doubles' Skills). Only one skill per player.

I didn't have much luck in my practice game in picking up the ball or with the Mino. This has affected my roster and skill choices.

My roster is this:

4 Hobgoblins, 6 Chaos Dwarf Blockers, 2 Bull Centaurs, 4 Re-Rolls, 3 FF.

My skill picks will be:

1 Sure Hands (Hob), 2. Block (BC), 3. Block (BC) and then 4,5 and 6 will be Guard on three of the Blockers.

I like the roster Dave. It may be worth using a Bull as the ball carrier (picking up on 4's) with the safety of 4 re-rolls. Some people prefer break tackle on them to keep them mobile. Dropping the sure hands lets you get another guard .

Having thought about it I may have been a bit hasty skilling up an AV7 Hobgoblin.

In the one game I had with them I did give Break Tackle to a Bull but then had horrendous luck trying to pick up the ball. This was so much the case that I was considering Sure Hands on a Bull.

I may just tweak the Skills slightly and try one Bull with Break Tackle and the other Block. Then I look forward to having four Blockers with Guard!!
