DungeonBowl Glittering Prizes

Post by mamapepe »

My friend and I are playing a "no holds barred" two Division league, with all of the tournaments. We've developed some house rules and will be playing the DungeonBowl games soon. However, we need some clarification, in the rules it states;

"The winning team receives a special contract from the College that supported them. This contract allows the team to induce a Wizard for 50,000 gold pieces instead of the normal 150,000 as long as the team holds the trophy."

My understanding is that the winner can induce a Wizard for 50k for the rest of the season rather than 150k. Does this just then add 50k to the TV?

If not, as it has been debated, it would mean that the TV will still go up 150k and the opposition can induce a Wizard anyway? :-?

I think there may be a little confusion about the inducement system

First, the winner of the dungeon bowl can induce a wizard for 50,000 per game until the next dungeon bowl (which is usually 4 seasons). It has been a while since you could permanently buy a wizard.

Second, inducments happen after team value has been determined for the game. As the inducement only effects that one game it has no permanent effect on your team value.
