Set of diagrams to calculate interceptions anyone?
Does anyone have a ready set of diagrams where you you could look up who is eligible to intercept, like the diagram that tells you the pass-ranges?

I've seen a flash app, but it is not correct, if you calculate interceptions by the whole pass-ruler, which is 2 squares wide. I checked it for the diagonal direction...

So it maybe uses only the coloured part of the ruler. But that issue is a whole new topic and is probably discussed elsewhere. (I opened a topic for that issue on the NAF-site and there the consensus was that you have to use the whole ruler, since it is not described differently in the rulebook.)
Well, I think it is not THAT complicated to create a set of diagrams. When I have the time I will try to put one together.
I think it will have to be about 15-20 diagrams, since you can have more than one field on one diagram.

That's not the app I was thinking of. That's not even a flash app, though it is a nice idea.
I think you'd need a lot more than 20 diagrams. Assuming that only horizontal, vertical and 45deg diagonal lines share exact angles, there are .. aww nuts, just lost count... was it 119 different thrower/catcher combinations? Something in that order. I guess half of those are mirror images of others, but that's still approaching 60 diagrams that you'd need.
Sorry, I'm too busy to look up the flash app, but it is out there. I tried midgard and oberwald, not in either of those sites. Anyone else have any cluse?

wow, great! thanks a lot!
just seems, it also takes only the coloured part of the pass ruler to estimate interception. or even less.
my 3rd ed. (german) ruler is 2 squares wide (transparent part), but even the coloured part would hit more squares on a diagonal throw.
i always check the diagonal throw and it is shown as 2-1-2-1-2... fields to intercept. but it should be 2-3-2-3-2-3-...

Don't think that's 100% correct either - did a test play, and it had a couple of squares that couldn't intercept listed (although that might be because it's based on an older wording).

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
