my dog is also half welsh but we do not hold that against her :D

Not sure if 'welsh by marriage' is enough to qualfy.

Maybe this is a good oppotunity to flesh out who can play for who for future reference and stop suspect links to teams.

For example i am one sixteenth irish (i alway wondered why i had a fondness for diddle dee music). Do that mean i can play for Ireland? Does living in the country for a year qualfy me to play for it?

just to help you out a bit Quermitt the welsh have a very perculiar way of spelling. cwmbran so pronounced cumbran any w's after consonants are done in this way. the other main one to know is that ll is pronounced like you're clearing your thought out to spit a big green flemmy thing on the ground.

next time on learning welsh we'll discuss why the welsh number for 5 is pimp.

As far as I am aware (and I think already mentioned somewhere in this thread) Fifa qualifying rules are used.

You can play for any nation in which you, a parent or a grandparent were born.

OR

You have at least 5 years residency in a country other than those listed above, without playing for any other nation at any other time. This will qualify you for that country.

In either case, once you have played for one nation you can only ever play for them in the future.

How strict all this is for BB I dont know. Feel free to correct me if I have got aything wrong.

You forget Glorian. He is like M'n'T. He can play for each Team. He only have to change team every year.

Yikes! In that case I hold out for a place in my native team however unlikely that may be.

Thats why I played as a freebooter for germany this year. :D
And yes, Fifa rules apply. So a Team San Marino or Andorra is a possibility as well as a team luxemburg or monaco.
