... Stand Firm on a human catcher....

Every time I hit that son of an itch, I got a push...!

OR NOT!!!!

Gotta admit, would've put just about anything else on a Catcher, if I had a choice... but my buddy's SF Catcher is still going strong through three games....

Ya'll might wanna try it....

I concur. Stand Firm is annoying.

A friend of mine has a Woody team, and a Catcher has Stand Firm. He runs the sidelines like a madman.

Exactly....

Or you get the hit and expect to push next to the ball carrier... and... NO! I am unmoved....

in table top I plan on having a sidestep and standfirm wood elf catcher.

Sure it'll be extra TV. But honestly assess how the standfirm alone makes your head feel.

Now add on I have 8 possible squares to move to after you hit me... The extra aggrevation and stress it will cause my opponents will make it all so much worth while I think.

(and then we add fend later... hee hee heee heee hee.)

Interesting! I personally have a hard time imagining anything could be more annoying than Side Step, but I haven't tried Stand Firm!

As a lover of both, I think Side Step is almost categorically better.

Stand firm is good because it stopps your opponent in his tracks.

For me SS is a pain, Stand firm is really annoying, but SS+Fend is worse

Stand firm is good for keeping your guards in place, I would think that stand firm is better for basher teams where you want to be in contact with your opponent at all times.

Sidestep is good for frenziers, and stunties, and in general all frail teams.

Fend should work best on scorers to keep them out of tacklezones, esp. when they have ag of 3 or less. Fend seems to be an overall good skill if you want a mobile team.

Just my thoughts.

I have two side step blitzers in my orc team and they do all sorts of cool things. I think Stand Firm is good as well, but even bashy teams benefits from being able to control movement (maybe even more than agile teams!) and to do so in your opponents turn is just fantastic.

I wouldnt even consider Stand Firm on a player with access to agility skills.
