Not that I'm defending KOR, but you don't have to pass with the KOR guy. You can move him next to the ball to justify holding off on the pass action. If he starts the drive with the ball, you can make two passes rather than just one, with nearly the same security.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Its not giving him KoR I see as a problem - its a great skill.
The problem is giving a line elf a specialist skill that forces him into the backfield on offence. I don't want one line elf to be dedicated to that role - I want to be able to rotate most line elves through that role for them to pick up the completion.
So block or wrestle, dodge then whatever else you need (SS, Tackle etc). One with kick, maybe one fouler (dodge, sneaky git, dirty player would be useful), then the rest generalists spread across bread & butter skills.

The thing about KOR is that the guy with the skill doesn't HAVE to be the one who gets the ball. The skill is a nice counter to Kick, in my book. From a spot close to the LOS, a Lino with KOR can cover the entire backfield by himself. But he doesn't have to. He's the insurance policy. You might use KOR to get him under the ball to catch it, or you might not. It is +3 movement for free either way.
Look at this way: KOR allows you to have a man in motion as the ball is kicked. Maybe he catches it, maybe he doesn't, but three squares is also enough to put a midfielder up to block or assist.

Even if you had to move closer to the ball, that just means you get to start the drive with a TZ on the ball, so you can make your blocks and stuff before you try to pick up. Use the KOR player to get the ball if it goes deep, and throw to someone else who can pick up the comp the next turn. But otherwise, you can just have him ready to move off the ball when a teammate grabs it.

My ideas-
1) Side Step, Leap, and Dauntless are great on Blitzers. but Put Dodge on the first two at least. The reliable mobility and surviveability is key.
2) Block then Side Step on the Witch. Pause that development to get +STR, +AG, +MA, or Mighty Blow.
3) For line elves, get one or two dodge players for mobile assists. Afterwards Block, Kick, Side Step, and Wrestle are fine choices.
4) Kick-Off return is great for making your formation unbalanced. Keep a blitzer with Kick-off return in the middle of the field 3 squares off the LOS, then advance him towards one of the front corners. Done properly, this can really blunt a blitz or a perfect defense result. It can also allow you to overload one side of the pitch if you need to. A good third skill on somebody.
