Im all for the sidestep idea, and I agree very much with your choice of diving tackle as the first double skill choice. Lizzardmen is a strong team, but they also have some very hard matchups, being elven teams and especially woodelves. With diving tackle players you are countering woodies and you are giving yourself a better chance of doing well in your hard matchups. Would give that guy break tackle on the next skill, as you can better get him in the annoying possitions he needs to be in with that, or I would give him tackle. I would probably take dodge if you roll a third double, as you then would have a cagebreaker kind of player for the stronger teams, but it might be overkill as someone said. Consider though the kind of plays you can pull off with a ss, dt, blodge player: You blitz the corners of an orc cage and gets him next to the ballcarrier, and other sauruses follow up to make it harder for him to get 2 dice on you. Then he has to try with a str 4 player, probably without tackle, and since the ballcarricer cannot get away you will get to hit him the following round.

That's a good option on a highly skilled Elf, but this guy isn't going to be going for the ball if he pops it loose, and if he moves at all after standing, it'll be just to get better positioning. Better to have a really good reason not to block him off (ST4/Block/SS)and force a dilemma.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

I'm not a fan of Jump Up on a Diving Tackle Saurus. Here's why:Big A wrote:Coming in a bit late here.
What do people think of Jump Up to go with Diving tackle.
1) With AG 1, he won't be throwing blocks from prone very often.
2) With MA 6, this player can already move a long way upon standing up. If you really want to move more, choose Sure Feet and get the added utility when blitzing.
3) With Diving Tackle, this player is probably going to be near the action anyway, so less MA is not so bad. If the player isn't near the action, you can always choose not to use Diving Tackle!
The counterpoint is that this player needs to be able to get to his spot more readily than other players, as Diving Tackle/Side Step is so disruptive. I don't buy it. This player is more of a giant "Don't go this way" than an active player pursuer. Use your Break Tackle, Tackle, Mighty Blow players to go hunting! That player would benefit from Jump-Up more... but I'd go Side Step or Dodge.
