Stupid Question: What Big Guys to use for Amazons?

Anyone got any clue? Kind of crappy if every other team can have them, but the Amazons can't.

Just food for thought. Plus the girlfriend has the Amazons.

Right now they just don't have any....

I guess it could be the Unicorn, as ir doesn't have hands Amazons should be able ride it...

For the record, Dark Elves & High Elves don't have a Big Guy as well as the Amazons. The Unicorn got shot down long time ago. But of course GW-US is still offering it in a package deal (got my advert dated Nov 2002). I'd give you mine but it was painted too well.

IMO the Amazons don't need a Big Guy to win. They are nice to offset another team's BG but when (insert mantra) everybody's got dodge you don't really have to worry about what their BG is going to do. He'll roll a 1 on his go4it to get to you. Just you wait.

Amazons, dark elves, high elves and undead don't have a big guy. Goblins and halflings have two. Not every team needs a big guy to be competitive. Things are ok the way they are now, no need to change it.

well dwarves don't need their big guy neither ... besides having Troll-Slayers and Ogres in ones team seemed always a bit silly to me ... but well

Why do you need a big guy when you can get 16 potential blodgers?
Any big guy without block will have trouble knocking your players down, not to mention every player have a good chance to dodge away from him.

According to the background, riding animals was banned after some particular game that went wrong horrendously. Besides, your amazon will have to be a virgin to ride it, so meeting up with a Norse team might provide a problem the next match...

And I think the Unicorn is just plain stupid. Why would it even want to play BB?

Amazons should be allowed a kroxigor, since they come from the same continent as the Lizardmen. Shouldn't be that difficult to get a stupid lizard to play for their team.

Agreed. Starting with 4 block/dodgers who have strength access is a very big deal. So what if they have 7 armor? How many other teams can buy a blodger for that price?

It's allright cause it's not too good...
And I agree the Amazon really doesn't need a big guy considering everyone gots block

Okay... So you are saying that with the Amazon's Dodge skill that they should be fine... even if the other team has a big guy or two? I'm just trying to find solutions here. I don't want her getting slaughtered in her first real game.
