Trophy and Team rating

Post by Angeblich »

We have a trophy in our league, that gives the coach a Bloodwiser Babe, if he brings it.

Should we take this into account when evaluating his team value? (+50k)

As your trophy is, in effect, a house-rule.... decide amongst yourselves.

I reckon it shouldn't; it's part of the reward for winning the cup!

Then, again, the re-rolls given for the Chaos and Spike Cups DO count towards team value....

i am undecided, because the rewards "spike" and "chaos" both increase team value, but "dungeon" does not.

since you only can purchase bbs when paying money or playing against lower tr, the fact that you have a permanent bb is kind of a bonus in itself.

but if it raises the value, is it not worth enough to go for it?

we are still a young league and don't have the experience to judge...

If you charge for it, you are effectively "Spending" the team's inducements if he is an underdog! (he gets a Bloodweiser babe, but 50k less in inducements.)

I would leave it free, or else charge 10k or some small amount.

I'd either charge 50K if he brings the throphy along (his choise)
or set a fixed amoun on the prize, e.g. 20k.
After all its a prize, and you do not want to handycap a team forced with a bloodweizerbabe. e.g. a dwarf team would likely not need one at all.

Given the precedent of the Wizard rule for the Dungeonbowl prize. I'd let them have the Babe for free. Allowing a free 50k inducement for a tournament winner is not a major game unbalancing house rule.

I would also allow the Babe for free.

Rationale: if your opponent has the same TV as you (before Babe) and your TV is raised by 5 (for the Babe) your opponent can take a Babe too. Making the Babe of little value.

Hope this helps.
