tournament play: doubles on break tackle bull centaur
Yes, I'm in the middle of a tourney (Brass Bowl in Ostend), and my bull centaur is to receive a doubles skill. He already has Break Tackle. As for the moment, I'm going with dodge.
rest of the team:
6 dwarves - 3 have guard
1 bull break tackle
1 bull sure hands
1 mino - nothing
3 hobgobs - nothing
2 RR and a cheerleader.
any better ideas than dodge?
Yours,
El Hombre

Dodge is hard to beat as you have only 2 Team Re-rolls. It also gives a degree of protection.
To be honest, I can't think of any other good doubles skill (just read down the Agility skill list - it is likely to come from there).
I think it's mainly Dodge vs. a normal skill (such as Wrestle).
Unless you want to contemplate Leader... (but this seems a waste on a playmaker).
If you are playing the new (draft LRB6) rules, then I guess Diving Catch might be an outside choice (to create a fast/strong/dodgy receiver). But you have AG3 Hobgoblins to do this already.
Hope this helps.

Dodge is good. I like skills which let you re-roll things, as this lets you reserve your team re-rolls for stuff like blocking, which I re-roll surprisingly often. Sometimes you just need that player down or whatever. In addition, if player A can re-roll the dodge/pass/catch by himself, you can save the team re-rolls for the less skilled player B when he needs a helping hand.

I went with dodge, and it came out OK in the end. Did some things I couldn't have done without dodge, but could have used block as well. Overall, since this was my first tourney with chaos dwarves, I learned that break tackle really is a must on the bulls. (without they are only rather expensive black orcs...)

You're right - Break Tackle is the definitive skill on Bull Centaurs.
You should take it as a first skill in preference to a doubles roll.
I once rolled a 12 in a tournament and took the +1ST. I regretted the decision - Break Tackle would have been better. In a tournament, therefore, I would decline rolls of doubles, 10 and 12, but would take an 11 (+1AG) to create an excellent Runner.
Once upon a time I had (in a league) a Bull Centaur who got +2 AG for his first 2 rolls. Undoubtedly the best player I ever had. The other BC had Break Tackle, Dodge. Destroyed the league, though - no-one would play against them.
Cheers

In leagues I typically give my first bull block and my second break tackle... But I will prioritize giving bulls touchdowns over winning for the first 5 or 6 games... having Block and Break Tackle on both of them (or AG 3!) is key.
I once turned down +AG on a bull for his first advance. DUMB DUMB DUMB... But then again, he died the next game from a mummy block, where the mummy stood up, went for it twice and got a single die hit. Then the apoth failed... I suppose it didn't really matter
